Connector 3 is repsonsible for the earspeaker, so it should turn on even if it's not connected at all. most likely all you need to do is reset the phone, the screen will resync on a hard reset (press menu and sleep/wake button together for 5 sec). if you still have issue compare what you did to Iphone repair Guide.

How to unlock it

How to Unlock an Apple iTouch

Although locking your iPod Touch prevents accidental touch commands, the feature also prevents you from accessing your media and applications while the device is locked, according to the Apple site. The lock code is the 4-digit code that was created when the passcode lock was first enabled, and displays a passcode menu prompt on the iPod Touch's screen when the "Home" or "Power" button is pressed and the unlock bar is slid across the screen.

Instructions
1 Push the "Home" button on the iPod Touch's screen, or push the "Power" button on top of the device to show the home screen.
2 Slide your finger on the iPod Touch's unlock bar.
3 Enter the 4-digit passcode using the on-screen keypad to unlock the device. If you cannot remember the passcode, plug the dock-connector cable into the iPod Touch and plug the other end into your computer's USB port. According to Apple, the iPod Touch will automatically unlock after it is connected to your computer.

Ok i have a ipod touch 2nd generation i have replaced the digitizer, and the lcd screen, and i am trying to replace the wi-fi flex cable that was connected to the mainboard but i don't know how to attach...

The digitizer is connected by carefully pressing the end of the ribbon down onto the main board. You will feel a slight click as the connector engages.

You have to be sure to line-up the two halves of the connector just right before gently pressing down.

Hopefully you haven't damaged the ribbon cable.

I've replaced the digitizer 3 times on my 2nd generation iPod Touch and it's VERY easy to rip that ribbon.

Also, be sure to remove the protective, clear membrane from the inside and outside of the digitizer or your have to live with a blurry display until you replace it again.

No touch screen response

Remove the battery at the back of the ds to reset it, to do this you will need a small phillipes screw driver, and a small knife to flip the battery out.

When the battery has been removed turn the ds over and and rub your finger quite hard around the far edge of the bottem screen all the way around, do this a few times.

Turn the ds back over and re-insert the battery and the cover. Turn the ds on and set up your name etc, once set up go to the little icon on the bottem of the screen that looks like the ds, then go to the yellow icon on the right to calibrate the touch screen, if all goes well you should now have the touch screen back.
Post back if not, you may need to open the ds and check the connector on the logic board.
