Question about Panasonic Lands Phones

Open Question

We have a Panasonic Phone system with 6 lines. We constantly have an error when someone is on a call, it just cuts off (you are on the call and you hear some bleeps and then just cuts off.

When you try to press a line to ring back it comes up "Line not assigned", you need to wait approx 30 seconds to get a line. If 2 or 3 people on calls at same time, then all phones cut off in this manner. It doesn't happen to all calls, just random.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: line cut off problem

That is a common problem with this model, normally happens after a storm passes through. Unfortunately there is no easy fix for on site, it would need to be sent in for repair or replaced. You can google Siemens Cordless Repair to find service facilities.

SOURCE: Incoming Call not Ringing

Either call line 3 first, or make your phone ring :-)

What might be the easiest is to swap modular plugs in the back room between 2 and 5. That way, you get your old extension back and everything will work as it did.

If you can't do that, then you're going to have to do some system programming to turn on the ringing on your phone. If you have a TA series system, you should be able to do it from either the PC or a phone connected to jack $1. If you have another model, you should have a system manual on how do make programming changes.

You could have a CICS, and MICS or a Nortel BCM. Which do you have?

You will need to access admin programming, do you know how?

Standby mode is when the phone is not on a call, you're not dialing one, and you're not doing anything with the menus. It's standing by, waiting for you to call or for someone to call you.

HOW TO TURN OFF MESSAGE LIGHT ON KX-T7433?

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

I have a Panasonic 7731 here at my desk. It rings audibly when any of our 5 or 6 lines is called. I'd like to narrow it down to only ringing when someone calls my line (my phone #).

Check out the system programming manual for your particular cabinet. Somewhere, like in the 40x's, there's an instruction to program ringing for each extension in day, night, and lunch modes.

I have a kx-t7731 panasonic phone system. How can I tell how many phone lines I can have?

You have a 7731 PHONE. The system it's connected to has a model number as in TA 624 TA 824 TAW 848 etc. The first digit (or digits) tell you how many phone lines you can have, but you may not have all of the hardware to make it happen. An 824 has 8 lines, but they come in 3x8, 3x8 and 2x8 cards that fit into the cabinet. A 624 has the capacity for 2 3x8 cards but can have 3,5 or 6 lines, depending on the cards installed.

We have the Panasonic KX-T7433 model of phones at our office. Yesterday I set about to re-programme some of the extensions and now, as a result I have lost the outside line for the phones that I have been...

I just found this, which had the process for programming a CO button as a one-touch. And it worked. It's a bit easier to follow than the panasonic manual so hopefully it will have an answer.

Extension Light will not switch off even though line not being used

perhaps there is a stuck key, or a function enabled, such as DND, you could check by unplugging the phone, press and release every key to see if one sticks, then plug phone back in and wait for it to perform self test with switch unit, here is link to user manual http://www.westlakecom.com/KXT7700-User-Guide.pdf

Programe my phone KX-T7730

The phone you have (KX-T7730) requires a phone system to operate. This phone can be installed on a few different Panasonic phone systems. You need a "programming" manual for the phone system to do what you want (not a user guide) so you will first need to determine which system you have. Look for a part number on the system itself, it should start with "KXT" just like the phone.
