Hello DaVe;

My name is peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

What are you doing. You replace a control board and wasted your money.

Send me model number, which is located on the inside liner panel of your fresh food section on a label.

Please do not spend any more money guessing.

Only some of the keys on the keypad of my oven work. I have replaced the control board (computer board), but they keys still don't work. What specific part do I need to replace?

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.You didnt have to change the computer you need to replace the control panel. The control panel is the whole front piece which has the touch membrane on it. This is common on these units.

MSD2756GEB maytag. freezer is working properly.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

Maytag MZD2665HEW ADC replacement

You will find the defrost control board inside the panel that contains the two turn knobs where you control the temp inside both compartments. It's inside your fresh food section of your unit. Pull the two knobs off, take the screw out of the side and remove plastic piece. Between the two temp controls there is a square box. The board is located inside the box. Take box apart and replace board.

If you would like a parts blowup of the unit, go to and enter your model number. Select the Control panel to the left. This will give you a blowup of the parts.

Hi, Here is a picture of the control panel where the timer is located. There is a1/4" screw holding the control panel up. Remove the screw and the control panel should release. The timer has a wire harness of 4 wires. It can only plug in 1 way.
Please let me know if this has helpes you at all or if I can assist you further.
