Why do young child struggle in daily routines?

There are many reasons a young child may struggle with day to day routines. The most common reason is their attention span. Up to the age of 5 years old, a child usually has one minute of attention span per age, so a 2 year old has a two minute attention span, a 4 year old has a 4 minute attention span, and so on and so forth.

The second most common reason is that they are given too much responsibility too soon. While children can help with chores at all ages, the chores need to be age appropriate, so you might give a 2 year old a dust rag to wipe a table with but you wouldn't give them a vacuum cleaner of course.

Another common reason is that children don't get nearly enough sound sleep these days. Infants and toddlers need on average 12-14 hours of sleep a night. Some may be able to get away with as few as 10 hours, and others may need as many as 16 hours of sleep a night. 3-5 year old's need anywhere from 10-13 hours of sleep a night and some need as many as 14 hours of sleep a night, while others can survive on only 9 hours of sleep a night. Older children in the 6-13 range need a minimum of 9 hours a sleep a night, and the average child in that range needs 10-11 hours of sleep. Some get by on as few as 7 hours while others need as many as 12 hours. No child under the age of 13 should be sleeping less than 9 hours a night. If they are, it could be one of the reasons that you struggle with the day to day routine, especially if it's the morning routine.

Other common reasons for a child having a hard time with a day to day routine is the need for a nap, not drinking enough water, too long of a wait between meals or snacks that's causing low blood pressure, and distractions by siblings, video games, etc.

HOW TO GET YOUR CHILD TO MOVE FROM A CRIB TO A TODDLER BED

There is no fixed age to move your kid to a toddler bed. You can use their and readiness to guide you. Sometimes parents move their kids out of the crib once they are able to climb out by themselves as this can result in an injury, so it's safer to be in a toddler bed. Here are some tips for helping to make the transition a smooth one:

Relax - If you are tense about your kid moving from the crib, they will pick up on it. Don't rush the move as toddlers like to do things in their own time. Some kids are very excited to make the transition to a more grown up bed but others are fearful. If your child is reluctant, you could let them use it just for daytime naps at the beginning.

Involve your child - make the move to a toddler bed a joint project. Let your child have a say in what kind of bed they would like. If that's not possible, you can always let them pick out a new duvet cover or sheets.

Keep the bedtime routine - moving beds is a big enough move. Don't make any changes to the bedtime routine. Kids love the stability of routine. So if you usually read a story or sing to your child before bedtime, do exactly the same thing once they are in their bed.

Don't panic - some kids sleep really well from their first night in a toddler bed and others take ages to settle. If your child keeps getting up and coming to your room, don't panic. Try not to get cross or turn the issue into a battleground. Just firmly but lovingly take your child back to their own bed. If you stick to this method, your child will eventually get the message.

Be positive - Even if it doesn't seem like a big deal to you, it's a huge transition for your toddler as it marks a movement from baby days to toddler ones. Gives lots of praise, even for the small successes and you will help your child feel self-confident and proud at this milestone.

Good Luck and Enjoy!

Are there any safe sleep medications for children?

in general medications used for sleep disorders are not recommended for children. Sometimes children suffer from sleep problems that become a real problem for their daily life. Family doctors will sometimes use other medications to help this problem i.e. anti histamines, melatonin or blood pressure drugs which can be used under strict supervision for a brief time.

I have trouble sleeping for more than 3 hours a night. Do you think I have a sleep disorder?

You can't just make an assessment like that with such little information. It's possible that if you've tried all the tips to help you get more sleep and you still are struggling, that you might have a sleep disorder of some kind. But as sleep problems can also indicate other medical issues, I would go to your family physician and ask for help.

I got a jumparoo delux but its from 2003 and i need the instruction manual for it

They just pull up they will hold an average 3 small wettings, or one large wettings, they do no not allow the child to feel wet though so put the child in a pair of big boy undies under the pull ups, if being used for potty training. As usual change as soon as soiled.
These pull ups have next to nothing in the way of oder control, and are rubish for night time use if your child sleeps on their side.

Can i use umbrella stroll for 5 month old baby? i

No you cannot........umbrella strollers are for toddlers aged 12 months and up. A 5 month child cannot sit upright to begin with. If you are flying, then request for " Bassinet Seating".....these are the front rows of the plane which have place for bassinets to be installed in which your child can sleep during the flight. Also my best suggestion would be to carry your baby in a baby sling or backpack carrier as these may help you carry baby quickly through an airport while in transit. hope this helps!
