Question about Samsung Televison & Video
I have a samsung dvd/vhs dual deck DVD-V3500, it has worked perfectly for ten years. Two days ago the physical buttons on the player stopped responding. The remote I have is not it original remote so it controls everything but the eject option and swapping between DVD to VHS. I'm very handy and I'm hoping I can fix this myself at minimal cost, the problem is I don't know where the breakdown is in my system. The buttons still click, they aren't mushy feeling, they just do nothing when you press them. Please help! What needs to be replaced?
Get a remote,it will be cheaper,I had the same vcr,it did the same thing,a circuit board burned up. Samsung 00008A DVD Remote Control for DVDV3650 DVDV3500 DVDV8080 Tested...

If you forgot your password, press power on from a cold start
with no disc in the unit. Press the REW and F.F buttons
simultaneously on the front panel for 5 seconds. The "reset ok"
message will appear. Press the POWER button and the
DVD-VCR will go to the "Auto Setup" mode. (See page 13)
