Most front ends for riding lawn mowers, need to be greased. In addition to this, most of the rims for the front tires, have a nipple for a grease gun, which also need to be lubricated.

In the back of the mower...probably under the seat, there should be a lever to release the transmission, or it is on the back plate. As far as the noise when trying to move drive the mower, the brake in the back, next to the transmission is jammed, use a 1/2 inch wrench to loosen it maybe 1/4 turn and this should unlock the brakes

at the bottom of the shaft there is a plastic union that keeps the gear against the other gear they crack and then the steering jumps on the gear

If this is your front end, I'd say you probably bent the linkage rods. 61 & 62.
Most alignments start with the steering wheel centered, bring the closest wheel in to alignment, then work the other one in. Again, on these the links often get bent.

it is common for the rear wheels to get stuck to the axle i just change the tires or add a tube while its on the axle you will damage more trying to get them off
