Water coming out of soap tray and running down the front of the machine

Your soap tray and/or inlet is probably blocked with undissolved powder. Remove the tray and clean it. Also clean the inlet tube from the tray into the washing machine with hot water.
I, personally don't like soap powder and use a liquid or tablets because washers nowadays tend to use cold water only so doesn't fully dissolve the powder. Also the outlet to drain gets blocked along with the underground pipe to the mains sewage.

My Whirlpool Duet washer shows an F 28 error, what is the problem?

This means it is a communication error. Please follow the steps below on how to fix it.

  1. Unplug the electrical cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Open the detergent tray on the top of the washer and locate the Phillips screws that hold it in place.
  3. Remove the detergent tray screws using a Phillips screwdriver and pull off the tray.
  4. Find the control console unit reset lever and pull it toward you.
  5. Replace the detergent tray and secure it with the screws you removed. Plug the electrical cord back int the outlet.

To reset that unit, unplug it and pull out the soap tray, remove the screws holding the soap tray, take it all the way out, look for the reset lever in the space, pull it and then release, reassemble and plug it back in.

Water comes out of the dey=tergent drawer

Issue, small sock ended up between seal and tub, stopping in front of the hose in front of the soap dispenser. Tools needed, 1/4 inch nutdriver, #20 torx tip and water pump pliers. Remove 3 1/4 in screws from back of top, lift and remove. remove the 2 torx screws, one from top and one from the front in the soap try area. Remove 4 screws screws holding the front frame, pry the entire electronics plastics from the top, one catch on right, one in middle. Remove the last torx from the from of the soap tray, remove the screws to get the metal bracket out of the way. Unclip the 3 hoses and get the soap tray box out of the way. The down hose is where my blockage was, squeeze it at the tub and it will collapse and pull out easy, remove blockage. The hose is not under pressure, just give it a wiggle after putting back in making sure it is round and it will not leak.
And average person with the needed tools should be able to do this.

How to fix my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine F1 code that keeps popping up whenever I turn on the washing machine.

Hello, error F1 means primary control failure and to resolve this you’ll have to replace the machine control assembly. To remove and replace the control you’ll have to unplug the washer and then remove three screws from the rear of the console assembly. Pull console towards front of washer to hinge open and/or remove console. Then remove the one screw holding the machine/motor control assembly to the console tray and two plastic legs on the rear of the machine/motor control assembly that fit into the console tray.
Thanks

Hotpoint wf440p door seal

on the wf you remove the lid and 2 screws that hold the console on at the front top.also the screws behind the soap tray front.
there are a few tabs at the bottom of the console at the back, carefully remove the console and then you will see there are 2 screws top and bottom of the front panel to remove,
pull the panel up to get it off its tabs.
you may want to unscrew the door lock 2 screws aswell.

Soap not emptied

The soap tray has a plastic separator which has one position for liquid soap (the separator goes to the bottom of the tray).
It has a second position in which the separator leave a gap at the bottom so the powder can be flushed through.
I had put powder in the liquid setting and thus the soap did not get flushed into the washer.

Take the front panel off, (12) screws in all. Start by the soap drawer (2 t-20's {safty type}). Then loosen the 4 T20's (also safty type) that hold on the aluminum face plate & display lens. Now the front meatl cover can come off (there is a snap clip by the soap drawer). Now remove the 6 - 1/4" inch screws 2- hold the top down, the other 4 hold the control board on. Now remove the control board & turn it over. You will see a white 3 pole connector plug, by it on the board it will say " service & coin". Remove the plug, now look at the display & you will see the error code. It will either be a "D" or an "F" code depending on your setup. Now push the lower left button on the panel (Delicates & Knits). your display should read 600 or 6 and a couple #'s (this is coin count). Replace the plug & your reset. Now just put it back together. Remember the display lens has a small window that need's to go bact into the upper left corner. I'll bet it will be an F22 or D17 - either way be carefull about closing the door (make sure nothing is caught by the door and boot seal). D8 or F21 -means long drain watch how much soap you use 1/4 cup or less is best. I hope this helps you.
P.S. keep track of the error codes- Maytag/Whirlpool may owe you an upgrade on the machines software.

Water Leaking really bad from the Dispenser area

Disconnect the plug from the outlet. Remove the top of the washer panel by removing the 2 back hex screws then sliding it back to lift it off of the washer. Take off the front control panel by removing the phillips screws holding it in place. Remove the dispenser drawer. Check the dispenser housing for clogs or lime build up at the bottom of the dispenser housing. Or the drain hose (large black hose attached to the front of the drawer housing) to the washer may be crimped or clogged.
