Question about Miele Washing Machines

1 Answer

Miele Dishwasher won't run. G4220. Fills and empties ok. Originally had F13 error. Circulation impeller has been checked and turns ok.

Had F13 error and eliminated a few things and settled on the Flowmeter board. We replaced this twice. After the first replacement, the machine filled intermittently (5 secs fill, 4 secs rest, and repeat) until it reached the correct height in the dishwasher. It then started to drain and continued to intermittently fill. This went on forever until we turned the machine off. Second time we replaced the flowmeter board, the machine filled properly (in one hit, not intermittently) and then stopped and clicked for about 5 minutes. Two clicks - one from the control panel area and another from somewhere underneath. The clicks were 8 secs and then 16 secs apart, then repeat. Eventually, machine stopped with F14 error code. I have read somewhere that when the flowmeter board is replaced, the flow count needs to be reset. Does anyone know about this and, if so, where I could get instructions to reset the flow count. Given the error changes with each flowmeter board I feel I am on to something. Thanks, Tracey Solved. When we checked the circulation pump, we had not replaced the power connector to the pump. Once we plugged that back in all worked ok. So... the fix to the original problem was replacing the flowmeter board.

My Miele dishwasher has water in the bottom of it and won't run

Check the impeller on the pump to make SURE it's turning freely. There could be a piece of debris wedged in there - like glass or a screw from a pot handle. If this is redundant, I apologize.

The manufacturer has assigned this error or fault code to indicate a problem with the water circulation pump motor. Turn the appliance off for 30 minutes to allow it to cool. Then, restart the cycle. If the error code returns check the wiring to the pump motor. Also, if the wash impeller is broken this error can appear. If the impeller and wire harness check out, and the code keeps returning, you will probably need to replace the pump and motor assembly.

F14 code Miele Dishwasher

This fault is low pump pressure. more than likely you have some foreign particles jammed in the circulation pump. you would have to remove the unit, tip it on its side and remove the bottom plate and remove the circulation pump and clear the blockage. the unit will start and stop and not work until the pump is clear.

F13 error code on Miele dishwasher. I can't find

The water valve on Miele dishwashers is built into the end of the water line where it hooks into your plumbing(in that box-looking assembly) Your best bet is to call Miele USA, I have had very good luck with their customer support system, they can usually diagnose your problem right over the phone.

Optima G2430 Miele dishwasher with intake/drain flashing light

F13 is an inlet fault.
First the unit drains and then fills with water. When the unit has intially drained open the door and manually fill the unit with water, about 5lts. This will then allow the dishwasher to go to the next step which is to circulate the water. If this works ok then the water tap is defective, water inlet valve is defective or the electronic unit is not sending the signal to activate the valve. The water inlet valve is the white square box attached to the tap. Remove this and check the filter and make sure water comes out of the tap.If ok then remove the bottom panel of the unit under the door. On the right hand side there is a 2 core cable with a male and female connector. Unplug this and check for voltage from the electronic when the unit goes to fill with water. If there is 240v then the electronic is ok. You will then need a new waterproof system from Miele.

Circulation pump is stuck

Hello Stonegroup,
The impeller is located below the bottom filter trap. Remove the tray and at the twelve 'O' Clock position you will see a small opening. Inside there are the pump impellers. take the Hackenschlussel (Hook spanner/Miele tool) and insert it in the opening and turn. You should turn it a few times and be able to feel the impellers free up. Also, Make sure you run the dishwasher atleast once a monch to avoid the circulation pump getting stuck like this
