Keurig pot doesn't give a full cup of coffee

Maybe you need to clean the pot with vinegar and water on full cycle. Sometimes if you do not have a water filter on your faucet, the coffee maker tends to come out with little mineral or metal particals from your water source. Which tends to clog up the small holes in the coffee maker where the water flows thru. This happens after a lot of uses. You may want to do this at least 3 to four times. I set up mine like I am going to make a full pot of coffee. Then also use a coffee filter to check the amount of gunk that is collected. I hope this helps. I ended up buying a water filter and do not have a problem any more.

What are coffee pods? Someone told me to use them in my coffee machine?

Some coffee machines have the option to either use ground coffee and filters or coffee pods. These are small, sealed containers that have the ground coffee inside. You insert the pods into the machine and click them into place. The machine pierces a hole and the water drips through. It's a much tidier way to make coffee especially if you don't drink a lot of it, so you don't want a whole jug full, rather just one cup at a time.

How does the pot make strong or reg. coffee by pressing a botton not adding coffee amount ?

By pressing the button for "stronger" coffee, it slows down the rate at which the water enters the grounds. This allows the water to set in the grounds longer and therefore can make the coffee a bit stronger. This is why on some pots when there is a 4 cup setting used, it takes longer for the coffee to be made. With such a small amount of coffee, it should go thru more slowly to get the same result.

Coffee Amounts

How much coffee should I use?

4-Cup Quik Drips - We recommend using 1 tablespoon automatic drip or ""all grind"" coffee for each cup being made. You can adjust the amount to suit your personal preference but DO NOT USE MORE THAN 2 TABLESPOONS per cup being made. If more than 2 tablespoons per cup are used flooding of the basket may occur.

10 and 12 Cup Quik Drips - We recommend using 1 tablespoon automatic drip or ""all grind"" coffee for each cup being made. If making less than 4-cups of coffee, add an extra tablespoon of coffee for better flavor. You can adjust the amount of coffee used to suit your personal preference.

Coffee is coming out weak. Feels hot. could this be a thermomitor problem

To check the water temperature you need to run a pot with the sprayhead removed. Most Bunnomatics have two forms of heating. The primary heat source is the heater element. It's job is to heat water to the temperature set by Bunn factory technicians. The second heat source is what is called a "keep warm heater". This heater is always on and keeps the water temperature at about 180 degrees. This saves on long heating times while the coffee brewer isn't being used. Now, if the main heating element goes out the brewer is still gonna send about 180 water to the brewbasket. By the time is gets from the air gap in the brewbasket to the grounds and filter it looses about 10 degrees. Coffee (regardless of what that non expert said that burned herself when she put the coffee between her legs says) is brewed at between 190 to 205 degrees for a good cup of coffee. With lawsuits I think alot of restaurants have taken the brew temp down to about 193. So your coffee maybe hot but if it is only using the blanket heater it won't be hot enough to make a good cup of coffee. So check the temperature by using a good electronic thermometer purchased at most hardware stores. If the temp is good start looking elsewhere. The first place is after you brew a pot of coffee do you have a "star" pattern in the used grounds, you should. If not remove the filter basket and run a pot of water into the pot. You may have to get a pan that will fit under it to catch the water if it doesn't drop into the brewer's decanter. You don't wanna make a watery mess. It is imperative that all the holes in the sprayhead are clear of grounds and water is running, not dribbling from them. A clean brewbasket and sprayhead are everything to taste. Also the temp must be above 190deg and It shouldn't take more than three minutes from the time you finish pouring the water in the top until you basically have a full pot (not counting some small dripping at the end).
