Not sure what ur saying have u tried changing the hot cold hoses and see what happens? u may have a bad water inlet valve or a bad water temperature switch? first make sure ur getting hot from the house outlet, u can check with a multi meter for continuity to see if either is out
Shut off the cold water valve and check the hose connections. Some units have a small mesh screen. Supposed to be on the shut off valve side. This is there to block sediment and scale from reaching your clothes or internal washer workings. Check for blockage, clean and put back in service.
Easy to check and if blockage is found... service can be restored in minutes. Hope this helps!
your water inlet valve is probably bad or stopped up with debris. some valves have screens that can be cleaned. you can swap the cold line and the hot line and check it that way. (you should get hot water when set on cold this way and cold for hot) be sure to turn the water off before swapping the hoses or you may get a little wet.
if the valve needs replacing you will need to remove the cabinet from the machine.
(1)make sure drain line has a high loop going to the drain not just a strait shot and its clear of ubstruction.
(2)there is a screen at the bottom of the tub unscrew it and check for a blockage.
(3)check the pump
If you require a part i recommend appliance parts solutions they have the cheepest parts i have found.
Shut off cold water supply to machine. On the back of your machine where the cold water inlet line connects the machine. Remove the cold water hose (I recomend doing both hot and cold to ensure the the hot is clear while you are there). look inside the threaded hose connection on the machine water inlets on the back where you removed the hose(s). There are small screnes inside the fitting and can be removed with a small screwdriver. Simply rinse them out and reinstall them. Some hoses have a screne in the ends. I recomend removing your drain hose (the discharge) from the sewer and open the water fauscett and flush the homes lines and inlet hoses into the drain pipe (no mess or water on the floor). This also insures good water flow to your machine. reinstall hoses... Should fixya!
turn off water
disconnect fill hose from tap
examine screen inside hose end for 'muck' blockage
if no fill
replace water solenoid valve
note: cold water valve fails first, it gets most use,
if only using cold water, you can simply swap the hot and cold hoses at the tap, and swap the hot and cold electrical connectors on the solenoid valves, the hot solenoid is no the cold one and the washer can be used, cold only, for about as long as it has operated thus far..
water flow is controlled by solenoid valves attached to inside rear wall of washer.
usually cold water fails first by the most use.
they are simple to replace, can be ordered from local store by model number or by pulling the old one off and taking it in, everybody has them, mnaytag fitsd kenmore fits whirlpool fits just about all.
If only the cold water solenoid has failed, to get the washer going, for use (the result will be cold water wash only)
open the rear panel
locate the 2 solenoid valves, trace the water lines in to the first !+~3inch diameter electrical gadgets, those gadgets are the solenoids.
swap the power cables between the solenoids
put the back -back on
swap the hose connections on the taps
now the burned out solenoid is in the hot water line, and cold water is available for wash and rinse.
If you buy a replacement solenoid then swap cables and hose back. but second solenoid will proobably last as long as first did as long as you dont mind cold water only
