An internal fuse may have opened or the power supply may have failed.

SOURCE: location of reset on unit

when you disconnect it from cables, it resets. But i believe that is not the problem. Check speaker cables. I think you have problem with internal power amps. They have thermal and current protection. look for short circuits on speakers or speaker cables.

SOURCE: Sony Trinitron TV's is making a fuzzy noise from the TV's speakers but when played via my amp everything is fine....

Hello
The audio output IC of your TV is faulty. It should be replaced with same type and number. If there is some loose sodering on the solder terminals of this IC, this type of fault can occur too. So check this first, before replacing the IC. Ok

SOURCE: Sony trinitron tv, picture works but the sound it emits is white noise (sound worked fine previously). Playing tape on a vcr has sound, revert back to tv is white noise again.

Is the tv signal originated from cable tv box? Or a antenna?

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

Sound intermittent tv

Check the speaker/s first. If found OK, check for any loose solder terminals at its audio output section circuit.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-40V2500 audio not working

I would Google the model number carefully for "problems" "no sound" and usually this set will display some kind of error code===it may even have a hard reset to try===service manuals are available on the net/web to allow you to see how the sound circuit is set up etc.

I have an Acoustimass 10 system with SL 2 Wireless Sound Link and Yamaha HTR-5860 receiver. The rear speakers hiss when I have the TV on but don't hiss when I play a DVD. I have checked all connections and...

when you play real DVDs?
im assuming you do
DVD quality is higher than standard TV signals and also TV signals are subject to noise from the envionment
as for DVD there is every little chance for noise because its from DVD player to speakers.

what you could try is swapping the cables that carry sound from the DVD palyer to the system with the ones that carry sound from the TV to the system
if you can

and see if that helps but i doubt that it will help

all i can say is you have to live with the noise or get a HD reciver or something along those lines

also i just read that the back speakers are wireless temporarily move the wireless speakers towards the transmitter and see if the noise stops

or if you can hard wire them temporarily and see if it helps

Popping and cracking noise from rt side speaker

You probably have a bad solder connection or an intermittent part failure in the right audio amplifier or its source circuitry. Put in a call for warranty service.

Insignia PC speakers - give a weird static feedback noise

I'm going to vote for the haunted option.

Sound like you have some noise on your power lines. This can be caused from many different things. Normaly it is a motor going bad or a compressor starting up. From the AC unit or refrigerator.

See if you can correspond the noise to anything else happening in the house. Fridge starting up, AC or heat cycling on...etc.

It may be that you just have speakers and a cordless phone going bad at the same time.

It might just be Casper the friendly ghost playing tricks... ha!

Tv turns on and off

My JVC 35 " AV 35750 toggled on/off non-stop too.

Fix for me: Unplug TV. Trace cables from on/off switch to main circuit board. I unplugged the cable at that point to eliminate the the on/off button and remote control sensor. Applied power to the TV and my TV stopped cycling on/off so I figured the problem was probably not on the main circuit board but with the push button/ remote control sensor board. I again removed power from the TV and plugged the cable back in to the main circuit board. I then applied power back to my TV to verify my symptom, but when I did this, the TV worked fine again.

Many times resetting circuit board connectors will clear electrical problems.
