Open Question

Our 20V max trimmer/edger, catalog #LST300 quits working after 10 to15 seconds after starting. We have charged and changed the batteries.

Batteries are fully charged, tried both of them, clicked in per instruction. We bought this two weeks ago,it worked the first time. Yesterday it would not continue to work.

SOURCE: T90 shutter

Hi Tim, I had the same problem , I took it to get it repaired & was told that it needed a new shutter solinoid , the repair cost £90 5years ago, you are probably looking at around £140+ today. mine has gone again & I am reluctant to spend that sort of money on it again. If you manage to get it repaired & there are periods of time when you wont be useing it take it out periodicly & just run the shutter a few times, it helps to stop it sticking. Good luck with whatever you decide to do . regards dave.preece@ukonline.co.uk

SOURCE: Canon Powershot A540 - Change Batteries when Batteries Fully Charged

Some of The Canon Powershot A530 and A540 cameras are subject to an advisory recall. Seems that a small spring on the battery compartment door can short out the batteries. Suspect this of yours, in that you mention that your batteries aren't lasting long. If your camera is on the list, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following link for more info:

SOURCE: batteries won't hold a charge

Are the batteries really gettin a full charge or is your charger faulty. If you can borrow a voltage meter you can see what your battery is putting out and check the charger (plugged in) to test how much voltage it is putting out. If the Razor is 12 volt you can hook up a car/motorcycle charger to pump up those batteries. I don't think your batts are not holding a charge, i think they're not gettin a charge....good luck to you...Tim

WORX battery chargers

I'm going thru same prob. with 24V battery for WG167. Had same thing with older 18V that came precharged & then wouldn't recharge. 3 batteries later, they sent me to a "technical" rep who said "NO NO, it's not the batteries, it's the charger" He sent me a reconditioned charger & it worked fine. I'm not having any luck so far with the "MAX 24V". On my 2nd battery. It didn't come precharged & will only charge to 18V which is what the charger is outputting! Trying to get a "tech rep" to diagnose but no luck so far. Their tools are handy & work well if you can just get the battery/charger resolved!!!

Can I power a small appliance with my dewalt

This is what dewalt is saying...The Dewalt 12V/20V MAX work-site charger/radio functions as an AM/FM radio and recharges your 12V/20V Dewalt batteries (batteries not included). The 3-stage charger can recharge your batteries in as little as 1 hour, and the radio can run off 12V/20V batteries for cordless operation
  • 2 AC power outlets offer more versatility for jobsite power
  • Auxillary & USB ports allows for connection to CD, MP3, portable satellite receivers, and other digital audio devices.
  • USB port allows device to be charged via USB when radio is plugged into a wall outlet
  • Class D amplifier, woofers and tweeters provide full range of high and low sound for optimum sound quality,( hope this helps)

My trimmer wont start. thought it was battery put a new one in worked for a few minutes and then stopped working

your batteries aren't charging fully, check them fully charged with a volt meter,, fully charged they should have a reading of 18.5 volts, if not they are not charging, and either the batteries have used up their life, or your charger is on its way out

The battery will only blink on red. It won't charge.

Your battery is probably shot. The batteries for the Worx trimmers are terrible. They sell replacement batteries on ebay, but if you can afford it i highly recommend buying a quality trimmer from your local hardware store, either plug in or gas.

Ryobi 18v One+ battery won't hold a charge. I have two of them and neither one will hold the charge. The charger is the Ryobi 18v charger plus.

Does it not hold a charge, or will the charge not indicate "fast charge"? I had to apply a initial jump charge on the battery to get it up to 20 volts, then I put it in the Ryobi Charger, and it started charging it.
