I have purchased a petrol 5 in 1 bush cutter ,the engine runs but the tools don't work, shaft doesn't go round help

possible explanations for this are
the square ends of the shaft are worn round and not engaging properly
angle drive head is seized up--stripped gears
angled drive head is not fitted far enough up the shaft to engage drive squares
the centrifugal clutch is not working properly weights jammed , clutch material worn off, oil on surfaces
if the machine is new , take it back for warranty inspection
if it is old pull the shaft housing off and inspect the clutch area
go google and type in ---workshop manual for ( make and model) brushcutter (trimmer ) and see if there is a pdf version download

How do I replace the upper drive shaft on a Ryobi RBC430SEC brushcutter?

I couldn't find this model on google, but when replacing drive shafts in most brushcutters we used to slide the cutting head / gear assembly off the bottom of the shaft, remove the circlip holding the drive shaft if there was one, slide out the shaft from its square hole in the clutch at the motor end. If the shaft was broken we'd slide the motor part off the shaft to get the broken part of the shaft out.

I have just replaced the spark plug, fuel lines, brand new carby, and new ignition module, but will not start. any thoughts. It is a Stihl FS85 BRUSHCUTTER. Thanks.

I had the same model and always had a hard time getting it to start after taking it to shop it started three times ok then the hard to start all over again. It now is in the trash as I refuse to put any more money into it. Stihl makes a great chainsaw but I would never buy another trimmer or brushcutter from them again.

How do you put a new pull cord on?

With great difficulty on that machine!!!

Its a "Half Cranked" engine (which is cheap and nasty) meaing the recoil / pull cord is located between the shaft of the brushcutter and the engine (NOT on top of the engine like proper "Full Cranked" engines are).

You will have to remove the engine to do this and probably loose the will to live in the process! Bin it and buy a Stihl bent shaft trimmer instead

I have a Ryobi RLT 30CESA with the strimmer attachment. What do I need to fit a Brushcutter blade to it

I would not put a brushcutter blade on this unit. The curved shaft quik disconnect may not hold up to the shock torque created by the brushblade. It may damage the drive shaft since it is a curved shaft quik disconnect model. You may have to purchase a straight shaft trimmer to get that job done.

Do I need Special grease for Brushcutter/Trimmer shaft

No grease is grease but there is sillicone used nowadays as it just looks clean to use. Now check if it does use some kind of oil in the system.

Ryobi TP30 straight shaft line trimmer convertible - drive shaft disconnected from motor

check both ends of shaft, they're usually a hex or torx head. sometimes the can strip or even snap off. if you find noticable damage replace the shaft
