Why do I have a 11.76 charge for Amazon Prime Membership when I never signed up for it?

We are Fixya, we are not Amazon.

Log into your account and see what the $11.76 is for. It seems an odd amount for Prime membership. Prime is $79 CDN, so $6.58 a month. When you last purchased something, the is a check box asking if you want a free trial of Prime. You had to uncheck it. It also links in to getting Free Delivery, and it is easy to mistake the Free Delivery for subscribing to the Amazon Prime Trial. You cancel Amazon Prime from within your account.

To cancel an Amazon Prime free trial, click Do not continue. Note: If you don't cancel your Amazon Prime free trial, you will automatically continue to a paid membership at the end of the trial period. You can find this date listed on the left-hand side of the Manage Your Prime Membership page.

Cancel your membership as soon as possible:

and I suggest contacting Amazon for a potential refund, if you believe your account was compromised or if someone started a prime membership on your account without your permission.

I was recently charged for an amazon Prime Membership that I didn't authorize. Can you please remove from my account? thank you

Hi
Amazon recently, and I think ongoing, offered a 30 day free trial of their Prime service. During the sign up you would have given a card number for charging. At the end of the trial period you were charged because you had not cancelled the trial.
In order to cancel your membership you will have to log on to your Amazon account and cancel Prime Membership, and then contact them, or perhaps your card provider to get your subscription back.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers
