You are facing a generic problem which is of all in the digital cameras, actually the zoom motor start malfunction due to dust/dirt or any kind of ****.In this case if the component level repair is available in your area then the zoom motor needs replacement and if the service on component level is not available in your area then you have to replace complete lens assembly, and your camera work fine again.
