Question about HP Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My HP Pavilion 753n was really dusty, so pulled out the fan to the PC board, carefully put it back in & now when I turn it on the light stays yellow & the only fan running is on the power supply.

Carbon dating, and ID (its 2002 PC?) its not supported NOW.

i must look up all this 1000s of numbers to see, oh
its a deskop or laptop, Pavillion has both.
to help anyone i must join your DECADE (year) 2002 time warp)
OK desk top, year, with Virus magnet XP
i guess you meant you pulled the cpu FAN OFF THE CPU
RIGHT? DETAILS MATTER, in the puter world.
that means you wrecked, the heat sink compound there....
so buy some HS compound and put it back. (or dislodged CPU at pins) the CPU will shut it self off in seconds, lacking a working HS
heat sink, (all by its lonesome) (intel inside, does that)

next time use shop air or canned air and avoid ever removing
any working CPU fan. or land here, every time.
in all cases a VACUUM cleaner is useless in this SPOT.
unless plugged into 240vac (that is a joke do not do that)
that was a tech joke....
why not get it services first or ask how to clean any PC
and not damage it.
look for wires unplugged, that to is common error.

in all cases (no pun) is use both shop air and vacuum.
one gets it loose, vacuum sucks it up so not tons of line all over shop. or do it outside, now that works every time,
let the dust fly, (can-o-air) get that?

I cleaned my pc, its a hp pavilion 753n, and then when i turned the pc on, the fans didnt work and after i turned the pc on, one minute later it turns off.

What did you clean it with? What part of it did you clean? Inside outside?
If you cleaned the inside with a really damp cloth or even a regular vacuum you would have mostly ruined the computer.
Comment back.

How do i turn the fan up in my HP Pavilion TX2510US 12.1 laptop... i need to cool down the laptop..

Hello

The fan should always stay on whenever the laptop is turned on,but if that is not the case in your own laptop then you should do the following

Open up you computer and check out all the fans. If their dusty that's your problem. Used compressed air or just blow in the to get the dust out.

If it still happens use a program called SpeedFan. It lets you control the fan's speeds. you can find it at http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php under the downloads section. Click on the blue text that says SpeedFan 4.34. Then put your fan to 100% and see if it still happens. *make sure your fans work too.

I have a Hp Pavilion 753n that when I turn it on fans run for about 9 seconds then powers itself down

Sounds to me as though one of your memory modules have failed inside the tower. You can perform a memory test so it would be worth researching that. Try this site http://www.memtest86.com/. You need to know if you pc is 32 or 64 bit first. you can find this by going to Start, All Programmes, Accessories, System Tools and finally, System information, in that order. Once you know, you can look for the correct memtest to download.

My HP Pavilion 753n starts to be and then

It is the power supply
In hp the power supply they use does not die on you completely; it will start but not feed the computer.
So change it to generic brand and every thing will work fine.

HP Pavilion power up

You could have overheating problem
remove all plates from underneath that allows access to internals and blow out using a can of compressed air (from Radio Shack shop or similar) and ensure fan vent is clean and clear. then try it with all plates off if OK replace plates and try again. If still shuts down laptop requires stripping completely to clean

Pc simply turns itself off and restarts ofter

Overheating problem. Install a fan or put some arctic silver underneath the heatsink. the heatsink is what goes on top of the processor.
