Your lithium battery have probably almost reached the end of it's life cycle. This kind of bahavior usually points to that. My Dell laptop has a built in program that tells me when the end of my batteries life cycle is close. If you do not have this app on your machine you can search for it on the Dell site. There is a small chance that your charger is malfunctioning, but usually if that is the case they won't charge at all.

Your laptop is fully charged. Try using it for awhile without the charger and then charge again to see the readings.

My laptop is completely dead, fine yesterday. Today no lights, sounds nothing. I tried removing the battery , unplugging no response. Thanks,

Remove the battery for at least 3 minutes... Then put it back and then plug in the charger and switch on the charger. If the battery is completely drained, it would take a while for the charging to initiate. Please have patience and leave it on charging even though without the charging indication for at least an hour. After that still if the charging indicator doesn't lit, then its definitely your charger or laptop. You will need to take it to a service centre in that case.

My laptop is not switching on?

you might have run the battery too low, or it might be disconnected. try just letting the laptop sit plugged in for awhile, with the battery out to charge the machine, and to let the battery cool down. Then reinsert the battery and let that charge for a little bit and try again. Either that or you might have dropped it or let it get too hot. If it's too hot, let it cool down. If you dropped it, take it to a tech, a wire might be loose.

Frozen mp3 player

Try a reset. On the back is a very small hole that you can stick a stright pin in. and that will reset the player. Try that.

When first setting up the laptop do we need to charge the battery completely even when using power adaptor? This was sent overseases and was in storeage for awhile now it will not power on at all.

No, it should start right away, even with a dead battery.

Try removing the battery and just using the power adapter to start the computer.

If that doesn't work, let me know.

Wont switch on

Same thing happened to me and I freaked out. Sit it on the charger overnight and then try to turn it on. Basically, what happened with mine was I had completely drained the battery to the point that, even though it was charging, it didn't have enough juice in the pack to turn itself on. If this doesn't work, then try resetting (use the end of a paper clip to push the "button" next to the area where the USB plugs in. If that doesn't work, try Archos tech support.
