SOURCE: Brand new Epson black ink cartridge won't print
Leaving an inkjet for two weeks with an empty cartridge is a definite way to get clogged printheads. Try doing 4 to 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with anozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:

Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.
SOURCE: Hello! I don't use my Epson PictureMate as often
That is a problem with the Ink jet printers. Lack of use causes the cartridges/heads, etc. to dry up. You're only solution (I'm afraid) is to replace them.
TIP: If you're typically not using the printer for several days or even week(s) at a time, it never hurts to print a single (low coverage) page of colour every few days just to keep the ink flowing
SOURCE: Recently replaced all cartridges in
You have to go to the properties of the printer and in the maintainance tab do some nozel cleaning and head cleaning.
and check it should be fine
thanks

Hi The
ink reservoir doesnt have to be completely empty to fail. Replace the
cartridges. Some of the jets or all of them may be clogged especially if you
have not used your printer in a while. If there are cleaning instructions in
the manual clean the jets and then try to print from the printer's self test Goodluck

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.
