Having the same problem but your solution does not work.

I have a Sanyo HD TV and my Playstation 2 has the red white and yellow jacks but when I plug them in I get no color. If I move them to the bottom red jack and the top green and blue jacks it works but only in black and white with poor picture.

Did you verify if your tv is set to work with PAL or NTSC?
if your PS System is European, you must set your tv on PAL
if it's American, you must set your tv on NTSC

and it will not work if you try to plug the cables in component video as you did.

4 Turn it on and flip through the inputs on your tv until you see the picture
IF your cables are RED, GREEN, BLUE, RED, AND WHITE

3 Plug the GREEN into the Y jack
4 Plug the RED into the Cr jack

No sound on tv and black & white

The red, blue, and green are the component cable hookups. What you have w/ red, white, and yellow is called composite or on most TV's (AV) See if the TV has a side port for like a camcorder, etc. It will not work by hooking into the red/blue/green as they are different signals.

It is possible that your yellow jack may be separate from the red/white audio left/right jacks.

How do i connect the playstation 3 to tv, it was connected to hd tv then we have tryed to connect to normal tv and nothing. please help

You have to connect the wire that has 3 separate wires at the end into your television according to the color. Plug the red wire into the red slot, yellow in the yellow and white in the white. You will then have to take the other end of the wire and plug it into the back of your playstation. Also, make sure to plug your playstation into the electrical outlet.

I am trying to connect a play station 2 to our Akira TV. I plug in the yellow Playstation plug to the green socker and then connect the sound. I don't get any colour in the picture. What could be the...

You shouldn't connect the yellow into the green socket. The Red/Green/White sockets are for HD and therefore won't work correctly with your usually RCA cables. Your TV should have Red/Yellow/White RCA input somewhere. If not you may have to use a VCR or DVD player to connect your system to your TV.

Game

It depends if you are using RCA jacks or coax . now RCA is the best way to go . its the wires that plug in to the back of the TV colored red ,yellow and white (yellow is video) (red and white is right and left audio). Now to get to the Question at hand. Either channel down on the rc600d. to the channels below 02 should find
(av )channel if not then look on the rc600d for the tv/video button and try this. make sure the ps2 is on. a blue light on the front of it will mean it is operating .
