Unit repeats and enters number twice or three times. Also runs past channels when scanning.

Hi. To resolve the repeating command issue, you need to decrease the repeat setting for the device in the Harmony software. The following article by Logitech will assist you with doing this:

Hope that helps :)

I have set up a BOSE Accustimass System with my STR de485 receiver. How do I adjust the treble/bass?

hi,
if u are using bose speaker system then remember one thing. go to speaker setup and select all the speakers as large not small. then only u will get a good tone. bose speakers will handle the output power of ur amplifier.
u can only adjust the bass and treble of ur frond Channel speakers. for that
select multi channel surround sound and the increase and decrease the bass and treble
ok

My Harmony 890 remote has a difficult time inputing numbers

Hi. This problem is caused because the 'repeat' setting on the device that you use to change channels (TV or cable box) is too high.

1. In the software, click 'Troubleshoot' next to the icon for the device that you change channels on.
2. Select '<device> responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionally' and click NEXT.
3. Decrease the setting by one (the default is usually 3).
4. Update your remote and test it.

Loud distortion on Front Channels

Well, the nice thing about the newer amps is that the actual amp circuitry is all contained in a module and you don't have to do much troubleshooting. Just replace the module for that pair of channels. Bad news of course is the modules can be pricey. Should say right on it the part number, order it from mcminone.com or whoever, solder it in, use new conductive grease (many times I think these modules fail because the grease gets old, the module overheats and toasts) and you should be fixya'd
