if the pressure is good with the head off then you can probably get a new head for it u shouldn't have to change the cartrige. it sounds like the head is clogged so plastic pieces in the head to help save water "water savers" it is hard to clean them i would try changing the head u should be able to find on for a moen, u buy for looks u buy it for life. take the old head with u when u go to buy a new one so they can match it up to the right one.if you can't find it and a lowes or home deptm try a plumbing supply house

SOURCE: Water sprays out the diverter

Remove hot/cold button in handle, remove screw/pull off handle. Remove the two screws in the wall plate/remove plate. Use a wrench to remove the diverter assembly. Get new diverter assy and reinstall eveything. You don't need to turn off the water.

SOURCE: Water is not very hot.

First try adjusting the pressure balancing gear located right behind the handle. If you still do not have hot water I suggest to replace the cartridge.

I have a whining problem when the faucet is filling the tub. It appears only to be the cold water or with warm water. If we run scalding hot the noise goes away..

You have a feed back sound from the faucet cartridge. I hope when you turn the faucet off that there is no leak. If there is a leak then your cartridge is misalined. It will eventually leak and that is an easy fix.

Turn off the main water coming into the house
Remove the cap and handle of the faucet
There is a retaining pin on top, first by using a pointed instrument remove the retainer and it looks like an upside down U
Remove the cartridge and replace with a new.
Insert the new cartridge the same way you removed the old one
Install everything on reverse order.
Good Luck

Hello. Delta uses a replaceable cartridge inside the faucet. Most commonly they will drip if they are going bad. There is very little you can do to repair the cartridge but replacement is affordable. Usually by removeing the handle and the next trim piece you'll be at the cartridge which should pull out but may be stubborn due to water deposits.Take the part with you when you go shopping, there are many different cartridges.

Delta T13090 faucet shower head working at the same time.

The only possible explaination is that the water is finding it easier to go up than down. Water is lazy, just like me. ;)

Use an allen key to remove the tub spout. It's underneath and awkward. Once the allen key is loose, the spout just slides off. Try running the water. This may solve your problem and all you'll need is a new tub spout. If not.....

Turn the water off to the house.

Use an allen key to remove the handle.

Use a phillips to remove the trim plate (2 screws). Cut the silicone around the trim if it's there (which, in a proper installation it shouldn't be, but...)

Unscrew the nut (usually chrome) holding the cartridge into the brass body of the valve. The cartridge pulls straight out. Check for restriction in the ports of the cartridge itself. Check for restriction in the line going down to the tub spout. If you can't find anything, replace the cartridge.

Reassemble & Enjoy!
