Start buy checking from steering wheel down the shaft , to gear that does turning, to shaft underneath mower that goes to steering tierods , to tires. Oil and grease will do wonders on any parts that look rusty, or may be tight. Definately check air preasure in your tires. You should be fine. GOOD LUCK.
First grease the the axles and all steering components associated with steering, there should be grease fittings where you can pump grease into, then make sure your tires are all filled to proper psi. Good Luck...
