Question about Ryobi 30 Cubic Centimeter Curved Shaft Gas Trimmer
If my weedeater is possibly flooded what is my next step,to fix it.any help would be very appriciated.thanks
If the spark plug is very wet, place the base of the plug against a metal part of the motor, with the sparkplug wire attached to the plug, and pull the starter rope, looking to make sure that the plug has a spark. If it doesn't, that is the problem and it may be that the breaker point gap has to be adjusted or the capacitor (condenser) has gone bad. It is not easy for folks with the typical tools of a homeowner to fix either of these problems, but it can be done. If the spark is good, pull the starter about ten times with the plug out to clear out the excess gas, dry out the plug and put it back in, then try to start it. Too much gas on the plug could indicate that you are pressing the primer bulb too many times or that the fuel adjustment is set too rich.
