Question about Brother SE-270D Computerized Sewing Machine
I have exactly the same problem with shirring on the brother anniversary edition and the more advanced version , the wonderful one with the automatic thread cutter...
it seems to me these machines are built with a different tension system for the bobbin... and its impossible to get the elastic thread to have tension and shirr... so frustrating!
I would love to figure out if there was a way to regulate this,
let us know brother!
The bobbin case tensions are "preset" from the factory. I would not recommend turning the tension screw that is locked with paint. You can however get a replacement case and break the seal and use that one for specialty thread and such.
