SOURCE: vizio remote control not working

Hi, I had the same problem. My vizio remote for my 42 inch 2 month old vizio also seemed to stop working. Here's what I did: My vizio remote (like most remote's nowadays) was designed for multiple components (tv, dvd, vcr, etc). All you need to do to make the remote work again is set it back to tv. Now, the confusing thing about vizio remotes is that they actually have TWO places where you can switch the remote to the appliance you want to control. One is on top of the remote, the other is on the BOTTOM. Switch it back to TV using the BOTTOM. My remote had stopped working because I had inadvently switched it to another component on the BOTTOM component switch.

SOURCE: every key stroke gives me double characters

Possibly your keyboard settings are too sensitive. Go to your Control Panel and click on Keyboard. There you can adjust your settings to decrease the sensitivity of the keys.

SOURCE: Cannot remove the 'store' settings

Unplug the set for 20 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. You should see a setting that says HOME____STORE on the screen. Make sure you high-lite HOME. Then continue on.

I have a 47 in Vizio and I'm having a hard time getting any remote to work and when it does it continues in last pressed direction without pressing any buttons. Any suggestions?

If the remote is at fault then covering the IR port after pressing a button should cause the tv to stop responding. That is what I understand from your description? I. hope that is what you mean.
In that case the easy option is to replace the remote control.
If it is not a remote fault it might be an error with the remote sensor giving chimerical commands to the tuner. Try obtaining a replacement original remote handset. If that does not cure the issue you should have a good idea of the cause

I have just bought the 42 Inch Vizio from costco and it worked fine for two weeks and then the remote stopped working. Also the DishNetwork remote which I used to control the TV and the DN 622 can not...

We're sorry to hear about Vizio TV remote, but we would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TVbutton located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights comeon, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Vizio TV; here some of the codes we currently have: 505, 598, 627, 520, and 766. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV.Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this isthe case, try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.

We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

TV shows orange light but doesn't work

Have you tried taking it to Costco for an exchange? Other than their strict return policy on many electronic items, they are very good about customer service. They may make an exception if you take it in and talk with a manager in person.

Vizio VW32L HDTV10A stopped responding with Vizio

Change the batteries in your remote. If your cat was laying on a button it could have drained them.

Here's tip - you can use your camera on your cell phone to see the IR signal coming out of your remote. Point the remote at your cam and press "On" or any button. You should see a bright flash with every key stroke.

My vizio vx32l will not turn on. vizio logo will

The main board has failed. Replace the main board will fix the problem.

By the way, where did you buy the TV? If you have bought it from Costco then try to give them a call to see if it still under warranty.

Hope this will help.

Vizio LCD

Pretty good chance the logic board is defective. all remote and manual command go trough the logic board via a micro prosseor. If that is bad the set gets false commands. If the run number is the same on that model they probably all have the same problem.. Get another brand not made in China.
