Keep it clean and the blade shart, give it a good power supply and it'll last a lifetime.
Too long of an extension cord will make the saw work harder, same with a dull blade. Saw dust build up can ruin switches.

General International 50-175 M1 Table Saw. The blade will not recede all the way on my saw.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Office Equipment category.

Probably grease and sawdust blocking it off from full travel. Strip and clean.

Faulty table saw

I don't have table saw but my guess would be power shortage. Maybe try plugging it in different amp circuit and see if that makes difference.

Severe vibration with Dewalt 744S Table Saw

try it with no blade
if you have unhabitual noise and vibration, probably need to change bearing
if you do not have a bearing puller do not try to do it yourself

professionals will take 2 to 3 times less time than you do the work and if there is something else damaged, (gear damaged,) he will see it and inform you

Looking for RK7240.1 table saw owners manual

I know Table Saw Reviews Geek usually has manuals for things. Here is the page for that particular saw and the instruction manual will be in the very last section of the review:

Hopefully that helps!

I have an old B&D 8" panel saw (model 34803) that needs a new switch (part # 54483-00). Can't find one.

When switches on old table saws and panel saws fail, they can be replaced with handy box and ordinary wall switch.
That's what I did for my table saw last week, after I finally got tired of pluging and unplugging the cord every time.

Saw blade seems to be seized, it is hard to turn manually.

could be a couple problems, first is the inner flange on correctly. and if so remove the blade UNPLUG SAW FIRST and see if you can turn the spindle by hand, it should spin freely, if not then you have a bearing problem or possibly the motor is burnt. did you notice any burning smell last time you used it and if so that is it. Let me know

I am trying to find out how old my powermatic 66 table saw is. serial no is 97661400

On the Powermatic 66's the first two numbers are the year in which it was made, so yours was made in 1997. The second set of two numbers is the model. The last numbers I"m unsure of but its my understanding that they represent the manufactured number, so yours was the 1,400th saw made for that year.

My bosch table saw runs slowly backwards what part do i replace

Replace the field coil. I'm going to bet its a Model 4000. I have done about 100 of these saws in the last couple of years and my customers always complain of the same problem, "the saw was running backwards"

Change the armature back bearing while you have it apart, they always seize eventually.
