Now it refuses to print !!!!

I have fixed my previous problem with leaving the printer out of power and unplugged for a long time.I have read that on its troubleshooter. Today I am experiencing another problem. It refuses to print!!! It's giving me an error message and doesn't print anything. I have made it print a sel-test page and it printed it succesfully!....but any other project results to a failure.I will unplug it for once again but I don't think this will solve the problem.Any suggestions?Thanx in advance..

The power light and the copy, scan and fax lights all come on and stay on and I cannot use the printer. I have to unplug it printer and plug it in again in order to print. Now the lights stay on all of...

Remove the cartridges from the printer then close the cover. Unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Leave the other end of the power cord plugged in to the power source. Bypass any surge device or power strip, plug the power cord straight to the power outlet in the wall. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging the power adapter back in the printer. If all the lights still come steadily on, it's a hardware problem. If not, when it's ready, reload the cartridges. Let it print the alignment page. Then check if problem persists. If it does, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to further investigate the problem. Thanks.

Kadak Easy Share 5300 printer. Screen reads "Please wait"-stuck

    Try this one
Take out the inks and printhead
Leave the cartridge door open, then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while the access door is open
Close the cartridge door once the cord is unplugged
Reconnect the powercord, turn on the printer, then your printer will look for your printhead "Printhead missing or not installed correctly..."
Then put everything back. make sure it will snap in to place. Then print a calibration page, then scan it. This is just over writing the error message.

Derrick, Came across something the other day and thought of you even though we know that there are a lot of yellow tanks with bad chips in them.

Lift the ink tank carriage body up and expose the print head, there is a lever to lift up and pull out the print head. Now soak that print head in ammonia for several hours and then rinse it out with a warm water jet, using a water wand or just the faucet head. The print head has a rather large hole with a screen to accept the ink from the tank. You can wipe it off and blow it out using your mouth too, just don't **** on it. Canned air is the way to go and blow the canned air on the bottom too and then wipe the print head forward and to the right on a paper towel damp with rubbing alcohol. Do this until you are getting some yellow color easily. Then reinsert the yellow print head.

Now, put everything back and latch it down. Unplug the printer pulling the cord from the back. Hold the OK and Cancel/reset button down at the same time and reinsert the power cord. Hodl these buttons down for about six seconds until the lights blink or you get a message and then release. Now press and hold the On button down for five seconds. Now, turn the printer off and wait until its finished. Unplug the cord from the back and leave it out for 20 minutes, then reattach the power cord and turn the printer on and print a test page using the menu. See if your yellow is okay now.

Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One when there is still power in the unit also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet or surg protector, leave the cable unplugged for atlest 1Mins time.
Then connect the power cable directly to wall outlet without the surg protector and before connecting the power cord to the printer, press and hold the # and no 6 button in the All-In-One without releasing the keys connect the power cord and do not release the keys untill it shows as semifull reset.

My Canon MP830 suddenly refuses to print black. The tanks are apparently full or nearly so, and I have used deep cleaning utility several times to no avail. It refuses to print at all. This happened all at...

drivers...can really get corrupted for no reason, or a good reason(power glitches) the drivers/print management software, remove the printer from the panel, unplug it from the computer, then reverse that. Should 'see' it, and you may be back in business soon.

    Got backup?

    Printer won't print

I've had this 6110xi all-in-one for a few years now. Everytime I have the "no-printing" issue I need to unplug the printer, and leave it unplugged overnight. The problem magically goes away in the morning.

I've installed the printer on a separate computer while it was having a "no-printing" episode and still couldn't print there either. So it sounds like there's something funky with the printer internal cache requiring a long power-down.
