SOURCE: GE Profile Harmony Gas Dryer DPGT750GC1PL not heating

If you hear the blower ramp up when you start the dryer and it slowly ramps down or quits all together then you need to replace the blower.

SOURCE: GE Profile Dryer - sensor problem

When I pull up the exploded view of your model, it does not show an individual moisture sensor, but is does show disconnect plug(s) for it. I can only assume that the sensor bars are an intrical part of one of the front bulkhead components. That all being said, the most common reason for your symptoms is when people use fabric softener sheets in the dryer, the sheets leave a waxy type coating on the silver sensor bars inside the drum, near the air inlet to the lint filter. If you clean those two (usually about 4 inch long x about 1/4 inch wide) metal bars off, they will be able to detect the moisture level of the clothing again, and your dryer will work on auto dry again.

SOURCE: Dryer takes a very long time to dry a load.

Some dryers have more than one heating elliment..

A way to check is -- take the exaust hose off.. Put a mirror so you can see into the hole & hopefully see the heating elliment(s).. When running they should glow like a stove burner..
If it is not gloing its not working & needs to be replaced..

I suspect that one may have went out..

I hope this helps !!
Please rate me good ;o)

SOURCE: GE front load dryer

Clothing gets caught in the front of the dryer as it spins. This is leaving black marks and wholes in our clothing.

Ge gas dryer heats but doesnt dry

if the flame is lighting you have lint blocking the air flow either in the dryer or in the vent line, also if you have a flame for the first 10 to 20 minutes and then the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve, when the coils are bad they can work for the first 10 to 20 minutes until the coils get hot and then they fail and you'll see the ignitor glowing orange but no flame, bad gas coils.then when the coils cool down they can work again.hope this helps.you can try removing the vent line from the back of the dryer and see if the flame stays on,if lint is blocking the air from blowing out the flame won't stay lit long enough to dry the clothes.

OUR G.E. PROFILE DRYER MOD.# DPGT750EC1PL STARTS AND RUNS LIKE NORMAL, BUT THE BLOWER DOES'NT BLOW. WHAT DO WE NEED TO LOOK FOR SO WE CAN GET THIS DRYER RUNNING? THANKS.

The fan motor must be tested by energizing it and reading volts from timer control. If the fan is faulty it must be replaced, if there is no volts from timer control, then either wiring harness or timer control assembly must be replaced.

Dryer shuts off after 15 minutes and needs to cool down then will start again and the cylec continues!!On, off,on, off.

The problem is more likely a high temp limit switch. I don't have a schematic of your dryer, but one should be included somewhere on the dryer. You have to use a voltmeter to test the components in the circuit. The thermostat controls the heat temp, you may want to start there
