Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

Open Question

My 6 week old ex display model Artisan coffee maker 5KES0504BOB has decided to drip hot water where the used coffee capsules go. No warranty.

It may be that a capsule did not pierce, and caused too much pressure. Is there any repair for this

Hi,

According to your problem first open the coffee container and clean it properly. After cleaning fill the container with proper quantity of coffee beans. May be the spout holes are blocked. So clean the spout by pin. Also make clean the infuser by open the front cover of the infuser. The ground coffee may be blocked in the funnel. Remove the ground coffee inside the funnel using a knife. Then clean the infuser and the inside of the appliance. Descale the machine. It will help you.

SOURCE: Delonghi Nespresso Coffee Machine Model EN66 After years of great use our machine now has small drips from the main coffee/water spout after use.

Try running apple cider vinegar through it. A few times. This is a mild acid that will get rid of mineral deposits from water. I do this on my coffee maker. Run straight water a few times after to get rid of the vinegar taste.

My Nespresso Xn250140 U doesn't work. Why?

Check the hole where you put the capsule, are there any faults or obstructions visible? If not be very suspicious of your capsules, there are lots of brands of Nespresso coffeemakers and the capsules have slight variations between the different brands. The variations are almost invisible but enough to prevent the wrong capsules being used.

Nespresso U coffee does not come through the spout

There are two nozzles in front of the machine attached together, the nose of the bigger one on the top slides into the smaller one on the bottom. When it makes coffee, the spout outside the machine becomes lower so coffee can come out. When it is done making coffee, the spout goes up so water/coffee drips in the drip tray. If one of the nozzles breaks, the spout on the smaller one will not go down and the inside end is lower and coffee goes inside the drip tray. It has nothing to do with cleaning.

Our coffee espresso machine is leaking when we use the coffee maker.

The problem is that the heated water is leaking out of the drip chamber. This is caused by the fact that they were to cheap to use stainless steel screws that hold the chamber top to the bottom. The screws have rusted and the hot water can escape the drip area and runs down next to a plastic tube that delivers the hot water to the top of the coffee maker from the heating element. To repair you have to remove two screws that are on the underside of the hot water drip area above the coffee filter. Then there are 3 tabs that have to be released and separate the cover that has the from its base. When you pop off this cover, you will see the remains of 4 screws that are badly rusted. I used a small ez-out and drill to remove the remains. Be very careful to not drill the pilot hole through the top. I got lucky and was able to remove the screws and replaced them with stainless steel. An alternate method would be to use a food grade 100% silicon adhesive and glue the to back together. This method may leak in the future, so try to get the old screws out first.

Machine was in storage. Cleaned it up, filled with water and prepped for coffee making. Water would not come through the head instead dripping all AROUND the head. Don't know what to do.

When some of these type are stored the old coffee grounds become like cement in the small holes of the coffee screens and a full cleaning is necessary, look closely for clogs.
