SOURCE: no volume sound very low at maximum

Look both at the set and the Box if used (cable or sat) to make sure volume is not turned down---also a receiver if used can do the same thing.

A quick low tech test is do you have the same problem when playing a DVD etc.

Music wont turn up -- too soft to hear properly

It could be that the maximum volume limit has been switched on too low.
Go to settings then playback and then volume limit, the volume control shows the maximum volume it has been set to. Use the click wheel to select your maximum volume and then press the centre button to set the limit. Then choose done. Hope this helps.

My Dell Latitude E5500 speaker is too low, how to increase volume?

If you have volume control in the system tray (bottom right corner), double-click it. In Windows XP you will see all the sound controls. Increase all to the maximum level (except microphone).
Use the buttons close to the screen to increase the volume.
There is a volume control in the player you are using. Increase it to the maximum.
If it doesn't help, please let us know.

How do you turn the volume down

1. Turn on the cube2. Hold silver + yellow at the same time while the startup music plays3. At the end of the music the voice will say "volume control, volume level ..."4. Release the buttons5. Tap either silver or yellow, listen to the voice and it will tell you the new level, "4", "3", "2", "1", etc. Yellow goes softer to a minimum of "1", Silver goes louder to a maximum of "4".6. When you're done, just wait a few seconds and it will automatically ask you which game you want to play.

Sound

Set your SAT receiver to full volume and use your Sony TV volume control as the master volume control. If you use an external surround sound amplifier do the same thing using the amplifiers volume control as the master volume control.

Consider that all source devices that have the ability to control their output volume will output what they call line level 0dB when the source device is set for maximum volume. If you set the source device to 1/4 volume your output to the amplifier may be around -25dB or lower. Introduce that low of an audio level to the amp and you will have to turn the amp up to half way or better causing the amp to amplify noise too.
