Question about Toshiba Tecra 8100 Notebook

1 Answer

Hibernation Please hurry with an answer. I was on my Toshiba researching for a project and all of a sudden it went into hibernation! I don't think I was suppose to do this, but I turned it off pressing the botton a couple of times. Seeing that it didn't have any power I pluged in the wire and waited for 12 HOURS not touching it at all. The lights on the bottom of the keyboard shown that it has enough battery, but it still won't turn back on. Please tell me what to do, because it's my moms, and if she finds out she'll be really really mad! Please hurry! She uses it everyday for work!

Re: Hibernation

Try holding the power button down for about 30 sec. then see if it will start.
If not remove the battery and the mains power (the power adapter) and wait about 5 min. then try starting.

A75-s2112 unable to connect after hibernation

Yes! disable hybernation, this causes all kinds of problems from window file corruption to complete shutdown of your system, "worst idea that microsoft came up with" once you do that the system will start to run better, and when not in use shut yor windows down.

Toshiba terra went into hibernation and will not boot

I find extensive use of the hibernation eventually corrupts window files until it will not start. The best option now is reload your operational system for a fresh install and disable this function, select power options and click hibernate "top right" and make sure box is unchecked, if not! uncheck and click apply and okay.

My HP compact nc6000 laptop went to Hiberating mode and i don't know how to fix the problem. If i could please get help that would be great. i just got this laptop yesterday. it was working but all of...

Hi Jessica,

Hibernation mode usually turns the computer off but saves any work. Then you would start it back up by hitting the power button, it will boot up and you log in like normal and the computer should be as it was before it went into hibernation.

If you can't get it out of hibernation by pressing the power button, try holding the power button for 5-10 seconds. The laptop may actually still be on, and holding the power button will cut if off. Once the computer is back on you can change the battery options(hibernation/turn off settings) in Windows by going to the bottom right task bar and right clicking on the battery icon. Normally you will have an option like "power saving settings", "battery settings". In this setting window you can turn off hibernation due to inactivity.

Let me know if you have any questions.

My toshiba laptop suddenly went into hibernation. I can't start it. What should I do?

mcdevito75 here, You can try to presss the shift key, also try to put your lap top on, with either AC wall power or battery. If this doesn"t work bring the lap top to a local Radio Shack, or Staples for help.

Thinkpad issue

You probably think it is going into hibernation mode when really your getting the black and blue screen(very dark blue) This is a result of your windows failing. Your windows has been corrupted and the fix is to purchase a new windows xp,7,or vista. If you purchased it from the store they should have you on warranty, But if it bootlegged you may have to purchase a new one.

Hope this helps ^^. Please dont forget to rate, Thanks

Mouse reboot!

many computers only come out of hibernation only when the power button is pressed. you;ll see something that looks like booting up, and the computer will load your memoery from disk of what was in memory when you went into hibernation.

standby is the state that can be woken up by a keyboard or mouse.
