Question about Exercise & Fitness

Open Question

Bought a Commercial 1500 NordickTrack treadmill. Worked when we tested it. After transporting it to our home, everything works except the motor won't kick in, so the belt doesn't move.

A warning states that the incline % needs to be at 0 before you fold the treadmill up or the treadmill could experience damage. I've researched and failed to discover what damage might occur.

SOURCE: Just replaced the motor controller on my treadmill

You have one of three things wrong. Either a bad console, bad motor or a bad wiring harness.
If you have a flashing light on the controller when you attempt to start the machine then you more than likely have a bad motor. (this has a long warranty may be able to get one for free, check the back of your manual)
If there is no flashing light on the console then you will need to check the wire harness. This unit is known for pinching wires at the lower section where the upright connects to the lower frame. To check this you will need to remove the console. Three screws on each side and the wire harness on the right side will need to be unplugged. Then remove the right upright by removing the two bolt located on the bottom of the frame. Then do a visual inspection for pinched wires especially where the upright connects to the lower frame.
If the harness looks ok then you will more than likely have a bad console.
If you need parts you can go to http://www.iconservice.com/CustomerService/parts.do
Good Luck! Tim

1) You have problem with LUBE deck belt, this happen because the lack of maintenance, you must lube EVERY week, use 100% silicone lube. Maybe you have WORN deck belt,
2) LUBE the rollers bearing too, use wd-40
3) Test the drive belt motor, see for break, or worn, and replace or tension by 1/4"
4) Test the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need repair. see my personal TIPS for help and troubleshooting.
5) Test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT the board controllers is faulty. God bless you. see the block diagram attached.

I have a proform crosswalk 400e, and the circuit breaker on the treadmill trips whenever I plug it in

Many motor may have two stages, the first starts it turning and then the second stage takes over to keep it running. The 2nd stage of the motor may be faulty and drawing two much current or leaking current to the earth. Your breaker may not be the correct rating for the machine and needs uprating.
Something could have slipped in or moved around that could be jamming the belt or something else in the machine preventing it from starting up and causing an overload that triggers the breaker.

I have a Nordicktrack A2105. When I turn it on the belt runs real fast like a second then stops everything on the panel is working as if the belt is still working but its not. Can there be something...

there is an optic sensor on the top roller that drives the belt. if it has fell off the computer can not sense the rotation. you may have to remove the cover where the motor and top roller is and inspect that the sensor is in place and no dirt is obstructin the signal. good luck to you.
