there should be a safety latch on the right ..down by the base or at the back you should have to press down on the saw to release it.hope that helps..

I would reattach it with epoxy. Go to the hardware store with the handle and let the clerk help you pick out the best epoxy for the job.

Go to: searspartsdirect.com and enter the full model number minus the decimal point. Full drawings of all replaceable parts will be displayed as well as parts lists and prices. Hope this helps!

Mastercraft's help line is 1-800-689-9928. However this saw is no longer in production and parts are available only until stock is depleted. It was supplied by an european company called WMH Tool Group that apparently doesn't supply CTC any longer.
