You raise the pressure ... by buying a compressor with a higher pressure output!

You're welcome ... for nothing! There is no easy but safe way to raise pressure above what such a unit was designed to do, minus wear factors!

Well they sell regulators I found to raise pressure, Sullair has 100, 125, 150, and 175 psi. You are are wrong.

I regulator can only REDUCE pressure! A regulator CANNOT INCREASE pressure, unless there is MORE pressure already available, to REDUCE it TO! Can water run uphill? No. And neither can AIR!

    SPECIFICATIONS—125, 130, 49 HP AND 185 JOHN DEERE. 40. 3.4 ...... compressor with an operating pressure range of 100.

The sullair 185 has a low oil pressure override button that you have to hold in while starting. after the oil pressure builds up(takes about ten seconds) you can release the button and the machine should continue to run.

John Deere will replace the cap for free; they acknowledge the vendor who supplied Briggs & Stratton gas caps provided faulty caps. Call 1-888-228-3068 then 1 (English), 2, 1 and a technician will ask you for model number and Serial Number (which they need to replace the cap). Don't drill a hole in your cap: debris will find a way into the gas tank and end up possibly fouling the engine. Bob from NJ

I have a Sullair 185 air compressor. The engine runs fine until I hit 90 psi and then it kills the engine. What could be wrong? Max working pressure 175

your not return balve is stuck open or your valves are sticking the pressure from the tank is going back to the pump so when the compressor goes on the compress stroke its very hard as it has to open the valve with pressure behind it its hard to explaing buddy but on the tank you wil see anon return valve from the pump unscrew it and inside is a rubber with a spring turn the rubber around and try this if doesnt work you need to inspect the valves (if sticking) good luck
