SOURCE: Harman P68 pellet stove glass fuse blows after 1 minute.

You can do some troubleshooting by looking at the glass fuse after it has failed. If the element looks melted and there is no other discoloration, then the fuse probably blew as a result of an overload somewhere. If the fuse is burned black, then it's probably a short in the system.

You can meter the motors to see if they are shorted anywhere or open.

It sounds like you may be correct about the circuit board.

SOURCE: Harman P68 wont ignite. would

Hi, the pilot ignitor on most heaters and stoves/fireplaces are made of porcelain and have a metal tip that rests in the pilot flame. They also have a control wire coming out the rear that connects to the board or module. If the tip gets dirty, it will not send the signal needed to fire the gas valve. It runs along side of the pilot tube. If you can reach the tip, you can clean it using a piece of steel wool, or fine sanding cloth. If not, it should have a clamp you can unscrew it and move it so you can get to it better. Anyway, you should be able to do this. If you still have this problem, its probably the module. Let me know and we can go from there. Please rate me on post :))

SOURCE: Can I run a pellet stove off a generator its a

If you are just running the blowers and what not, then yes you can. Blower motors do not take more than between 200 and 500 watts or so, so you should be okay running the blowers.

I cleaned my Harman Pellet stove today and when I went to start it the feed motor won't start. The blower runs for about 15 sec then shuts down

Test the feed motor with a jumper and wire power to it directly, if that fails to make it run you have a defective motor.

Alternative Heating Pellet Stoves and Pellet Inserts

Pellet stoves usually use wood pellets as their primary heat source. A pellet stove is defined as a stove that burns either compressed wood or biomass pellets to make heat to warm a home or other space.

Pellet stoves come as either free-standing units or fireplace pellet inserts which can be vented into an existing chimney. As an insert, you are able to replace your wood burning stove with this efficient and cost effect stove. Inserts also give the homeowner more of the look of a fireplace than that of a pellet stove. Pellet inserts can also be a great alternative for people who have busy lifestyles and are looking to get the beauty of a fire but prefer a cleaner burning renewable heat source.

Pellet stoves are freestanding structures that can give you the feeling that an old pot bellied stove did, tucked into a corner of a living room, den, or kitchen. Either the pellet inserts or freestanding stoves are a great alternative heating solution for keeping a house warm during the winter.

Many stove manufacturers recommend the using a corn and pellet mixture, but some are UL listed for many fuels other than pellets. These can include wheat, corn, sunflower seeds, and cherry pits.

Pellet stoves are a bit more efficient, burn cleaner, and are easier to use than conventional wood burning stoves. Pellet stoves often look very similar to wood stoves or fireplace inserts, however the similarities end there.

If you are considering burning alternative fuels then you will want to look into a pellet stove as a great way to heat your home. Pellet stoves and pellet insets have many great advantages over regular wood stoves that make them a practical heat for busy lifestyles.

Harman pellet stove blower not coming on. All lights are on and not blinking.

well im not sure why a pellet stove question is here in the pool section , but I do own a pellet stove (and a few pools too) SO I can offer one thing to look for , there is a small switch on the side of your burn chamber (soup can looking thing) this switch is what controls your fan to come on . it works by sensing heat from burn chamber and then turning power on to fan , its possible this isn't passing any power on yours ?

Replacing igniter on a harman p68

P68 only: Buy ignitor (about $100). Put on work clothes. Unplug stove. Clean stove. Take off back panels (onlt two corner screws come all the way out, most just loosen) and clean everything (including behind the wingnutted panel where the auger screw is). Notice where two wires go in thru the back to the ignitor, See how the excess wire is held up. You will need the excess so free it up so you have about 12 inches to play with. Go in front and expose the ignitor. Take out the 2 above screws holding it in. Pull it out (using the excess wire). With pliers straighten out the tabs holding the metal cover over the old ignitor. Attach the wires. Put the metal cover back on and twist the tabs. Gently pull the wires back until snug. Screw ignitor up where it was. Take care of excess wire in the back. Make sure gromet for the wires is in place. Put it all back together (check air intake pipe is in place (mine looked like it fell out some while I was cleaning). (first time post, wanted it flagged as a solution)
