SOURCE: Casio Ctk-720 windows vista compatability issues

Hi there. Get yourself a copy of Fruity Loops. In the MIDI settings, enable CASIO USB IN as the input and set the controller type to (generic controller). After that, make sure GM Mode is turned on on the Casio's interface and Local is turned off. If you've already installed the Casio's drivers from the included CD, you should be able to use the Casio as a MIDI controller in Fruity Loops, wherein you can do pretty much anything.

LOOKING FOR A MANUAL

Most Casio keyboard manuals are available from their support page: http://support.casio.com/en/manual/manual.php?cid=008&MODULE= . Here you will need to accept the Casio terms of use. Then scroll down to the correct model. The direct link to the User's Guide is currently http://support.casio.com/en/manual/008/CTK4000_5000_EN.pdf . Casio also has an appendix and documentation on the MIDI standard on the Manuals page for the CTK-5000.

I hope this helps.

I need a win 7 driver for the casio ctk-720 keyboard

Glad to HELP YOU!

Have you tried connecting the keyboard to your computer? It might work without the custom driver.
You also might want to try the Casio Driver Wiz. You can have it from here, free to download. It will really help you to find the right driver in case you must have one to get your keyboard working.

My best regards!

How can i connect my ctk-720 to my mac & the garage band application.

Just did it today. Hooked up CTK-720 to Imac with Snow Leopard (10.2.6) using GarageBand.
Steps: 1) Go to : http://code.google.com/p/casiousbmididriver/ 2) Download the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.plugin (see the two choices on the right side of screen) 3) Place the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.Plugin file into the MIDI Driver subfolder: Macintosh HD => Library => Audio => MIDI Drivers 4) Restart 5) Plug in USB cable, open GarageBand, turn on Casio 6) In GraarageBand Open New Project, Start by using Piano, Select Keyboard (command K) in the Window menu 7) You should see the keyboard being played on the screen.
PS: Thank you Francois Ferland.

It may or may not help you but you can go to the Microsoft site and download new drivers for Vista for recording with your built in soundcard on your computer. Also check the Casio site for any updates. You can download them for free. This link might help:http://support.casio.com/information.php?rgn=1&cid=008&pid=114 Note the info towards the bottom of the page about In and Out devices. This info is for Vista. Let me know if this helps.
