SOURCE: Loud noise when running.

Bad bearing or fan in the motor is most likely the problem. You would have to replace the motor.

SOURCE: kenmore model 116. 35912401 very very load

Well, actually, this model does NOT have a gearbox at all. I am a vacuum tech. There is a motor directly on the brushroll. Not your problem!!!!!! Sorry, Corvette Dude, stick to Chevys!. Check your Duct hose. The actual duct from the bottom of the machine to the middle. There is most likely a clog there, If it picks up from the hose, but makes a straining sound or high pitched noise and does not pick up from the bottom. that is FOR SURE...your problem! Hope this helps. I know it has been a while since you posted the question. Good vacuum..you made a good choice.

SOURCE: Vacuum making loud noise

It could be 1 of 3 things:

1. The belt2_bing.gif that drives the beater bar. (Inexpensive)

2. An impeller that has a broken wing or 2, throwing it off balance. (Expensive)

3. Or, the bearings in the motor are going out. (Expensive)

Hope this helps,

Jim

SOURCE: I have a shark navigator

I found the issue, the square hole in the side is an emergency air release if the suction is not reaching the dust collector. The cylinder filter screen inside the the top of the dust collector had a thick layer of dust which wasn't allowing airflow to the dust collector, hence the air was escaping through the square hole on the side. I cleaned the screen and it worked as if it came right out of the box.

Shark cordless sweeper making loud noise s When in use only 1eek old

Did you check the bottom of the sweeper to make sure you didn't pick up a rock or pieces of a toy or ect.... That might had gotten stuck in the sweeper. If it's not that! 1week old, you might consider exchanging it for another.
