Question about Yamata Sewing Machines

I have a second hand Yamata FY7568 sewing machine, and the bobbin tension is too tight. The instruction book says it is factory set and does not need to be altered. What can I do, please?

I have a YAMATA fy14u4ad, but I don't have the book to tell me the thread setting so what should the thread setting be for all 4 threads

Assuming this is a 4-thread serger. The thread tension setting will depend on which stitch you are making. A standard 4-thread overlock stitch would generally have the tensions set in the middle. FWIW, the tension in this setting is correct when the threads meet in the middle of the fabric. It should neither be off the edge of the fabric or so tight as to create a puckered edge.

How do I adjust the bobbin tension on a mademoiselle 300 sewing machine

Take out your bobbin case Hold it in front of you until you can see the little screw head
Mark down on a piece of paper at what o'clock the screw head is sitting ie look at the screw head as a clock face and see where the time is!!
Then left turn is to loosen the bobbin tension right tun is to tighten the tension.
ONLY move the screw head about quarter turn each time, mark where on the clock you have moved it to
Put back in machine and sew, check stitches Take out again and follow above instructions do again. Most times it only takes a couple of tries to get it right.
. The stitches should be even on the top and on the bottom. Sometimes if you are using a thicker thread in the bobbin it can be tricky These instructions are the same for what ever machine you are using. Sometimes in your instruction book there are how to's on setting the bobbin tension. I hope that this can help you Dot

The thread keep bursting as soon as i start to sew although machine is thread properly

Check your thread tension isn't too tight, try on a piece of similar fabric that you are going to use, try sewing a line of stitches, if the thread snaps, change your tension number, then sew another line with your different tension number, try this until you can stitch without the thread snapping, it could be that your bobbin tension is too tight. Can you check your machine manual, it could even be the needle or the thread that's wrong for your fabric. But I would say, check your tension.
Hope this helps.

No tension on the bobbin and no way to set it the book says it is factory set. maybe it is just worn out. it is plastic.

It may be factory set but it cannot determine the type of thread you use, on the bobbin case there is a screw if the thread does not pull through with slight resistence and is tight then slacken the srew anti clockwise about a quarter of a turn and test, repeat if necessary, top tension 4 or 5

Yamata FY7568 Machine not sewing

Make sure the correct needle is installed on the machine. Domestic needles will have one flat and one rounded side on the shaft. Make sure the flat side of the needle is on the back and the groove on the needle also being to the back.
You might also want to make sure the tip of the needle is not broken.
Other than that, your machine could be out of timing.
