I had to order mine direct from Breville. If you go to their website and contact them with the model of the iron then they will give you details of price and postage.

SOURCE: error code Prr

I had this problem, and checked the connections, emptied the resivour, and refilled it, and it had no effect.
To fix the problem, I ran the regular shower on hot for 10 minutes to warm up the shower chamber. Then, when I pressed the power button on the steam shower, it displayed "110" as normal.
The problem with "Prr" appears to be that the temp sensor is reporting a value out of range. Heating the shower chamber (and therefore sensor) provides a good value to the sensor, which then allows the shower to operate.
Try warming up your sensor by running the shower.

SOURCE: I have a Mr. Steam

Hi lee_helper,

Low volume of steam from the generator is usually caused by leaks or faulty seals on the water and steam outlet valve or pipes. You may want to try to check the pipe and valve fittings for signs of condensation or leaks. If leaks are evident, you may be able to tighten a compression nut with an adjustable wrench and close the leak. Other times, you may have to remove the fitting and apply plumber's Teflon tape or pipe joint compound.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Mr Steam MS Super-1 kW: 10 doesn't generate steam

the first thing the generator should do when you hit the on button is fill. You will hear the water entering the tank. Once the water stops it indicates that the water has reached the water satisfied level, after which you should hear a loud click(your contactor engaging for the heat cycle, newer units will have all three light on the side lit). After this point is you aren't getting any steam after 5 minutes it probably means your heating element may be damaged. It would be best to remove the element at this point from the left side of the unit via 6 bolts and 2 wire leads. Any physical damage on the element such as a pinhole pop, burn mark, melting, or scar will surely prevent the element from heating

I have the Mr Steam MS Super 1 T steam unit with the Tempo Plus accessories and auto flush. The unit has worked great for about 2 years but for some reason yesterday the unit light comes on at the...

You would need a multi-meter or voltmeter to trace the power path. Turn on the generator and wait until you hear the water feed solenoid stop. This means the water has reached the satisfied level and the pc board should have sent 24v to engage the contactor. On the actual pc board there is a section label "cont" which is what sends the 24v to the contactor the engage the heating element. Verify that you have 24v on the spade terminals going out to the contactor, if not then you may have a pc board issue. Second possibility is the contactor, if it is recieving 24v and it is not engaging then it's simply a bad contactor. Check the load side of the contactors with the blue wires. Lastly if these two steps check ok, then perform an ohm reading with a multimeter on the actual heating element(with the power off, put your two test leads on the two flathead screws that hold down the blue leads the go to the heating element). If you get an open reading then this may indicate a failed heating element. Pulling the heating element out on the left side panel will confirm any element failure.

Steam unit not putting out as much steam as it used to. Takes long time to start putting out any steam?

Occassionally an Autoflush Valve may stick open or partially open. This can happen in hard water areas due to calcium build-up or if debris is caught in the valve. Boiling water will escape to drain and cold make-up water will enter the generator. This results in diminished steam output. Removing the debris should correct his condition. Be sure to follow all precautions as directed in the MrSteam Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manual available from MrSteam or posted online at mrsteam.com. Or call call MrSteam technical Service at 800 767-8326 for assistance.
