Question about Bobcat Garden

My bobcat 442 thumb seeps down. Why

Could it be the piston? The valve spliters on the boom? And ca the valve spliters be tested and rebuilt? This happens more with the swivel bucket on.

Either the cylinder is blowing by or you have a leak someplace

Testimonial: "Thanks Steve. I was leaning that way to. I just don't know about the spliters valves on the boom. There a no Dam markings on either one. So I can't tell if I have them closed all the way. Thought I did. That's why I asked on fixya. Thanks again. Jerry t."

My 863 bobcat brush mower loses power in heavy grass. I rebuilt the pump on brush cutter. I hooked up auger and the guger turns slow like hydraulic flow is low. what should I ck.

I would flow test the pump to be sure that there are no seals that are bad or also if any of the valves in the pump are bad. If any of the valves are bad you can test the spring pressure of that valve to make sure it is within the correct specifications in accordance with the technical manual for your specific pump.

I have a 350 in my 71 camaro. when i start the engine i get apuff of smoke for about 20 seconds then no more smoke. Any ideas?

This is usually caused by worn valve guides allowing oil to drip down the valves into the combustion chamber--something that could be forgiven on such an old engine. If you want to fit it, have new guides put into the heads or have the existing guides knurled.

When i stop for awhil and then i take off it smokes like a blue color it only happens when the engine is hot not cold people have told be it's the valve stem seals and others have told me its the piston...

If it smokes blue only when you first start it, it is the valve stem seals, that is caused by oil seeping past your seals into the valves and when you first start it the seeped oil gets burned on ignition. If you have blue smoke all the time when you are driving, than it is the piston rings, either way you should look at replacing your motor soon with either a good used Japanese engine from Japan or a rebuilt or remanufactured engine.

yes unfortunately when the timing belt goes on your make and model car the valves will contact the pistons however there is likely only damage to your valves and not the pistons....so you will want the mechanic to preform a compression test to confirm valve damage and then go from there if there is no compression, the valves are damaged and the head will need to be rebuilt or replaced (when the head is off you can determine if there is piston damage) in your case with an 11 year old car you may want to put a used head on it to save money. the timing belt needs to be replaced every 105,000miles or 48 months whichever comes first (info received from Haynes repair manual #30034 for 1995-1999 dodge and plymouth neon)
hope this helps........thanks for choosing FIX YA!
