Question about Quad Lands Phones

Open Question

My BT Synergy 6500 quad phones show the Y symbol & 'Searching' all the time. I am unable to de-register.

If I press de-register, it says 'Unavailable'. If I press register; then message comes on - 'choose Base' & the Base 1 which is the main base unit shows 'In use' always. So unable to register the base unit to the 1st handset- keeps saying 'Registration Unsuccessful' always. Phone line is fine since it rings but I can not answer / make calls. The phones worked fine. Just changed new batteries due to crackling noise during calls.So tried corded phone on main phoneline , unplugged BT6500 since new batteries were charging. After that when I removed the corded phone & plugged the BT 6500 main base unit the phone is not working, not de-registering or registering. Really frustrating. HELP !

I had the same problem!

What you need to do is hold the "end" and "#" key for 5 sec, which will deregister the headset then all you would have to do is place it back in the base for it to registered again.

No actual idea, but check user manual, go to BT website and check there (esp FAQs). Do BT have a customer helpline?

As batteries go thru many charge and recharge cycles, they lose their ability to retain full charges. Time to buy a new battery.

I have a bt synergy 2110 cordless phone. There are 3 lights on the right hand side. one for power/in use, one for charging one for new call . All3 are lit up. How do i get the "new call " light to go out...


I may have a solution you can try.

1. Take handset out of cradle.
2. Press and hold bottom, right hand side, bottom button, marked "Calls"
3. Hold until "Display" shows number of calls, usually 10 and makes a bleep-type noise.
4. Now press top left button, marked "Del" in red, until the display scrolls through all 10 numbers and deletes all the numbers stored in the memory. The phone should then make a bleep noise.
5. Press "red handset symbol" (finish call) twice.
6. Replace handset onto cradle and the "new call light" should go out.

You should now be able to make calls.

Set time and date on bt synergy 3505


to set the time the instructions are on page 9 of the instruction manual in the getting started section.

in case you no longer have the manual....

1. press the tick/menu button twice.
2. press 0 and you hear 'to set the day and time press Star, to hear the day and time press Square.
3. press star. you hear 'please enter new day and time after the tone' enter the day (1=sun, 2=mon etc) enter the time using 24hr clock.
4. press the X/security button twice to exit.
