SOURCE: upside down images

ALL telescopes will show the image upside-down. You learn to adjust for this. IF you must, they do make a lens called an "erecting lens" that would flip the image back right-side up.

SOURCE: upside down images on my telescope. Bought used -no manuel. What to do?

In a refractor images are upside down as with most telescopes. You need an image erector to create a normal correct R and L and Up and Down image. It is a lens which goes in front of the eyepiece to give a correct image.

You are NOT focused properly. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.

Go outside during the daytime and practice focusing on a distant object. Turn the focus knob back and forth slowly until the image is in sharp focus.

How do you use it [ operating instructions ] ?

I have never heard of this brand??? Is it a reflector style telescope like the picture?

If it is the first thing you should do is take it out side during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object. Use the eyepiece with the largest number written on it. DO NOT USE the 2x barlow if you have one. Also line up the finder scope with the main telescope tube using the top of a telephone pole a good distance away.

Center the top of the pole in the main eyepiece, then with out moving the scope line up the crosshairs in the small finder scope on the same object.

Here is a manual for a similar reflector style telescope made by Meade:

I need an instruction manual

You will not find a manual for this small telescope. The manual only shows how to assemble the scope. It DOES NOT tell you how to use the telescope to find objects in the sky.

Buy this book from or a bookstore:
"Turn Left at Orion"

Also locate a local astronomy club and attend their star parties and meetings.

Meade brand maintains a list of manuals for their telescopes. Look under the REFRACTOR or 4.5 inch REFLECTOR heading for one similar to your scope. They all assemble in the same way.

Bushnell 114mm reflector telescope, can't see a thing

Probably NOT actually pointed directly at the moon-- you should have moved it around a little -- the moon was probably just outside the field of view through the eyepiece. ........................ telescope must be pointed DIRECTLY at the sky object-- also use the eyepiece with the largest number written on it=== this gives the LOWEST magnification..... and a slightly wider field of view.
