Help to scan on Canon MX922 and send to a PC and then to an email address

Since you do not have a dial tone, please ensure that the line coming from your telephone source is plugged into the LINE jack on the unit. If you are connecting a telephone or answering machine to the unit as well, you will want to plug them into to the EXT jack on the unit. Please ensure that the unit is turned off when connecting the telephone line and telephone/answering machine to the unit. Set the pc to start scanning

After re installing software I still got the same message.
So I went into the menu on the MX922. Then to Setup. Device settings. Then reset settings. Then Reset ALL. Works fine again.

working 3 weeks ago. well, something must have changed in your network since then, check smtp server with your mail provider if it is scan to email. if it is scan to the file, check firewall, ip addresses, destination folder, login and passowrd to the destination pc.

Canon Imagerunners 2270 and inbound email.

i know that "Mailbox" on Canon copiers is used just for storage personal scans and modify.
You can try to send an email to canon address, see what happened.
For your question, i don't know it is possible. In this case Canon copier should be an email server.

Scanning and send to email

Setup your mailserver IP address in the smtp server addres and asign a mail address in the same domain.
Make sure sure your copier is register with a send kit that your obtain from the dealer.

Scan to pc

Hi,
There's several ways to do this. I will tell you the easiest, (at least to explain).
1st- scan the document as usual, save it to your documents. ( to do this, look on your desktop for Canon Solutions- if not there it will be in your programs. This will open a box letting you scan from your scanner & save to your PC)
2nd- open an email, address it. Then click on the little icon at the top of your email that looks like a paper clip. This will open a box, just navigate to your documents & click once on the document that you want. This will put it in the email & you're ready to send. If you don't see a paper clip icon then click on 'insert'. This will do the same thing. If this helps plz rate this as 'fixya'. If you need more help leave a comment & I'll be happy to help. Download a manual. It should tell you how to scan and send the result as a file to the computer w/o printing it out.

Laserclass 730i scanner driver software

The scanning is based on scanning to email. It isn't really controlled from the computer like a typical scanner is. The settings are all on the panel of the device. They are resolution, Contrast, and Doc Type. From there, you have to configure the machine t send the scanned image to an email address. The email address requires that you have the device setup for email with a network address, smtp server, etc.

you need to store that location in the address book, its under additional functions, once there you have to enter info for scan location

What error code are you getting? Try to scan again and let it fail. Press system monitor, scan, log. Look for jobs with Result of NG. Highlight one and press details. At the top, look for Result: NG (####). It will display an error number there. What is that error number?

751 cannot connect to server
7xx cannot connect ...
8xx could connect, but error...
801 bad user/pw or firewall
802 user/permissions
899 unknown if successful, may be normal

Check additional functions, system settings, network settings, email/ifax settings. Check SMTP server IP and authentication / encryption.

Ignore POP or recieve options as they are for IFAX.
