The Legality of carrying a police baton

In most countries it is legal for law enforcement and military officials to carry. For a civilian to carry a police baton varies from country to country.

Within the United states the laws regarding carrying and pocessing a police baton change from state to state. In some states like Vermont and Arizona one is able to legally carry a baton if you don't have criminal intent or unlawful behaviour. On the other end of the spectrum states like California prohibit the carrying of any club like weapons by a civilian.

In the UK the prevention of crime act of 1953 prohibited the carrying of batons in a public space because they are objects that are adapted for causing harm to another person. The UK also has laws about the manufacturing, selling and importing batons.

Probably one of the most leanient countries in regards to carrying police batons is Canada. They have no laws against carrying a baton in a public area so long as it is not spring loaded or being carried consealed. While in Sweden one is permitted to own a baton so long as they don't carry it in a public space if they are a private citizen.

Elstun Maxam Stun Gun and Flashlight with Sheath. Looking for maker contact info for the correct specs including voltage. Also looking for user's Manual

OK so this is listed under Microwaves!!
Not a Microwave!
A low cost "stun gun".$15 to $29 depending on the seller.
Requires a 9 v battery, provides a "stated" 300,000 volts to stun and a flashlight too.
This product is a side market product with no manufacturer support found on line. good luck on an owners manual but don't think one will be readily available.
you can check the usefulness by applying it to your thigh (outside lower section just above the knee) and seeing how much it contracts the muscle. odds are it will not stop a big guy or a crazed maniac.

Kenwood tk3317 has stun on screen

At some point a STUN signal was sent to the radio possibly because it was STOLEN. The owner/agency/company or radio shop thought this was necessary because of security or malicious interference to the system. It will need the Kenwood program cable and software to fix it. Perhaps a radio shop can advise you and determine the status of the radio??

Wire wont fit in new coleman breakers

Hi - I'm an electrican and would like to help.

If the wire you're trying to install on a circuit breaker doesn't fit - then something is wrong. Typically, circuits are designed around the amount of voltage and current a product requires. The voltage determines the combination of material & thickness of the insulation on the wire and the the amount of current (in amps) determines the size of the conductor or wire. The appropriate circuit protection (fuse or circuit breaker) is selected to protect the circuit from trying to deliver more current than the product requires (in the case of a fault, etc.) which would cause the wire to over heat and potentially cause a fire. So, if the product requires (for simplicity) 120 volts and 20 amps, a wire is selected with the proper insulation for 120 volts or more and conductor sized to carry no less than 20 amps. Aluminum and copper is expensive, so providing larger sizes than needed is a waste of resources and money. A #12 copper wire is suitable for this amount of amps. A circuit breaker rated for 20 amps is chosen. A 20 amp circuit breaker must be able to accept a wire capable of 20 amps - other wise it's not really a 20 amp circuit breaker. Most circuit breakers are designed to accept LARGER wires than needed - because often times circuits will need a wire that is one or two sizes larger due to the length of the circuit (how far the product is from the electrical panel).

If you're seeing a circuit breaker that will not accept the wire, the circuit breaker is probably the wrong size (and if you could force the wire in it - it would probably trip instantly when turned on) or someone has made a very expensive blunder when chosing the wire type and size for the circuit.

If the the latter is the case, simply connect a short length of the correct size wire to the oversized wire in an appropriate connector and secure to the circuit breaker terminal screw. otherwise, have a qualified person evaluate the situation. Be smart. Be safe.

What is a stun baton?

A stun baton is basically like a baton except that it carries an electric charge. Some have a switch on the handle that the officer can switch when the baton is in contact with the assailant. Other types have a constant electric charge going through the baton, with an insulated handle, so if anyone is touching the baton (other than the handle) they will be shocked

My keychain camera felt into water.now the camera is working.can get pictures but cant record movie.what to do?

I'm stunned that it survived at all. Keychain cameras are cheap, disposable pieces of technology. They are not designed to be repaired, there is never any spares or servicing support. If there is ever a claim on the warranty of these products, the supplier throws it away and sends you another but water damage would invalidate the warranty.

Your only fix is to replace it with another one.

Dryer runs, but does not heat

do you have a volt meter ,and the wiring diagram for your dryer.if so we can fix this by email.your going to disconnect one side of the element[there are two wires that end up feeding the element electricity, each side is a curcit].and isolate that side with tape, but so you can still get a volt meter probe on it.now if you set your meter to AC volts and scrap one of the probes into ground[the body of the dryer, anywhere]so it gets past the paint into metal.now take the other probe with the dryer on in heat mode and started.and now touch the wire you have disconnected and then the other side that's still connected to the element.the side that did not have 110 volts is the side of the circuit that has something not working.so using your wiring diagram,or if you can see visually you still keep one probe to ground[any where] and go back to the next part, until you find where the voltage has stoped.and replace that part.almost all parts are showned closed on the diagram unless other wise shown.so another way to check a part to see if it is closed[meaning, complete or electricity can pass thru it]is to set your volt meter to ohms setting.in this setting if you put the two probes together the meter will go to zero[digital meter] and when you take them apart they will show 1 or the needle will go all the way back,if non digital.the reading you get when you put the probes together is the reading you would get from a part if it is good,[its called continuity]but one side of the wires must be disconnected so not get false readings.the thermostats and fuses will have countinuity[also your new element is a good example of something that has contunity[remember one wire must be disconnected.i hope this helps ill be there if you need advise God bless ,tom
