Question about The Audio Players & Recorders
Usually, with something like that going on, you have a bad solder somewhere. If you are referring to hitting the unit itself, it is possibly a solder on the power supply input. If you are referring to hitting the top or side of a button, other than the power button, there is something more complicated going on.

It could be a short in your speaker wire or the crossover in your speakers.
1) Turn off your unit and disconnect your speaker wires at the amp, if the protect is no longer displayed when the unit is turned back on, check the connections on the speakers. If you do not visually see a short on the speaker wire connection, turn off the unit and disconnect the wires at the speaker and isolate them so they do not touch then connect the speaker wires at the amp. Turn on the amp and see if the protect is on. If it is on, the wire has a short somewhere in the line. If the protect is off then suspect the speaker has a short in the voice coil or crossover.
2) If the protect is still on after you disconnect the speaker wires at the amp, it could be the power IC in the amp is shorted and needs to be replaced.
