SOURCE: 2 way light switches in the hall

there are too many ways to wire a 2 way switch circuit (3 way switch) to mess with, the two most common ways, will trip out the circuit if wired to each other, (one kind at each end, hope that makes sense), the most common mistake, will put 110v to the metal plate of the switch and switch box, not good
a sparky will take 5 minutes to determine which wiring pattern is used, and install the switch

SOURCE: need substitute switch part for sears saw

Sorry , but go buy a new saw. Your not going to find an aftermarket
dealer that carries this switch.

Trying to rig some other switch is not worth the trouble over buying a new one. If the switch is not available, then the saw is old.

SOURCE: Trying to replace Intermatic with Utilitech inwall

The wires on your new switch are intended for black = power .. white = neutral . and red = lights .. with two black wires on the old switch I am assuming that there is a bundle of white wires in that wall box, the white timer needs to join that bundle ... then you need to determine which black wire is the power from the electrical panel ( voltage tester) and connect to the black timer wire .. the red timer wire connects to the other black wire in the wall..

SOURCE: Replacing a pull chain 3-way ceiling fan light switch

OK .. the thick black and white are the power for the fan , are there also white wires on the lamp sockets ..??
The thick black wire should connect to the black wire on the switch.
The small black wires connect to the red and blue wire on the switch .. two small black wires each .. that should give you a position for 2 lights , and 4 lights, on the step switch .. but there should be white wires from the lamp sockets connected to the thick white from the fan .

please respond .

Bad Switch on Sears Reciprocating Saw Model No: 900.271261 Part No: 147325-00

sears do not make items but use other manufacturers to make items with sears name on them
it is very possible that the switch is generic and will fit other makes of saws
you may have to go to an appliance repairs shop with your switch as a sample and see if that is the case and if possible they may be able to point you in the right direction as to where a switch can be purchased
Try e-bay , type in switch for reciprocating saw ( leave the brand off) and you may find the switch there under a different name

Where can i find a wiring diagram for a table saw 113 295750 ?

By that number this is a Craftsman (Sears) saw. Contact Sears and see what they can do.

Not quite sure what you're attempting, but there's really not much in the way of wiring. The AC comes in to the switch, the switch controls the AC to the motor. I don't believe Sears ever made anything but a two phase, 120VAC saw, so there's really only three wires to worry about. AC plus and minus (black and white wires) and a green ground.

Parts are available for almost any Sears saw ever made. Here is the link for the manual for your saw:

I have a sears whole house fan.The replacement motor has 2 poles ,the original has 3.The wire coming to the motor has 3 wires:black, red, white. The fan is 2-speed.This is the right motor. How should the...

The white wire is neutral which is how the current makes a complete path through the fan then back to the panel and operates the motor. the replacement switch you have is a two speed black(high) red (low) switch. If you had 3 speeds before and wish to continue getting all 3 you will need to get a compatible switch. Otherwise eliminate the medium speed (blue) wire and use the switch you have. If the fan has a wire connector system just cut the copper tip even and place a orange cap of wire cap the size that fits tightly to provide good protection.

How to open the front housing of dewalt dc385 recipricating saw

press release button and remove shoe on front of saw. Remove 2 screws on front end. Slide off rubber covering. To open gearbox remove 4 screws and pull off. Note, once open yo probably have to replace the gasket. If saw is jammed, try spray a penetrating oil in and tap shaft with a hammer using a wood dowel for contact. You can remove the 2 rubber plugs from the gear casing and pump in grease without removing the cover.

II have a switch and dimmer and the three wires from fan and light, no instructions how install it.

You will have power coming in through a black wire and white wire on the cable set that does not go out to your fan. The black will connect to your switch to power it. Then there will be two other terminals on your switch one for your fan and one for your light. The red and black that go out to your fan and light are connected to these two terminals. The whites get connected together. If you mix the red and black up and the switches are controlling the the wrong things, simply switch the black and red wires. (Note: If by three wires to your fan you meant black, white and bare copper this dual switch cannot be used, as bare copper is simply a ground wire and cannot be used as a constant electrical conductor.)

Need a switch module for dewalt dw306 reciprocating saw

I had a similar problem with a switch on a Craftmans wire welder that they said was no longer available. I looked at the switch and there was a manufacture number and logo of the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer to see if they still made the switch and the manufacturer sent me a sample of my switch at no cost. Check to see if there is a manufacter name or logo you can look up on the internet and contact them directly and sometimes they will help you out as Sears was no help to me.

No i didn't. I need instructions for wiring a

you have baclk and red wire supply and a black and red wire to load (baseboard).
your switch will have 2 black and 2 red.
connect blk supply to 1 black on switch ( it doesn't matter which one)
connect red supply to 1 red on switch
then
connect black from baseboard to black switch
connect red from baseboard to red switch
if multiple baseboards that have several loads at thermostat then just connect baseboard blacks together and reds together before connecting at switch.

Be careful with your wiring as some models have a reset switch. Your best bet is to mount new external metal boxes to the frame and obtain industrial switches capable of carring the amperage load that the motors are drawing. Then you'l have identical controls on all units so future control problems will be esasy to solve. In your wiring, always remember that the black is the hot side and always routes through the switch and then to the motor while the white bypasses the switch and goes direct to the motor. In event you have a reset switch,, your black will go in as well as out of the reset and then through the switch to the motor.
Hope this helps.
