Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: MOTO Q DROPPED IN WATER

well one thing you should always remember is to try and clean an electronic device with alcohol ,never turn on the phone right after the incident, the problem most of the times is the hardware and not the software as far as i know.

SOURCE: the home screen on my brand new iphone 3Gs

I had the same problem
First hook up to your computer and synch it on itunes. Then reload the system software. That may solve your problem but if not it will remove the passcode so you can get in.

Go to settings, general, accessibility, set Zoom to OFF

did the trick for me...

Hello, when a phone does not display on the screen and you can here start up tone, it means that either the screen or the flex that is connected to screen board is faulty.Needs to be replaced.

You have to test for both the screen and the flex.must be one.You can tak it to any nearby repair store around you for assistance.

SOURCE: stuck on start up screen, will not go to home screen

1.Check the device's battery level for at least two bars of strength.
2.If the battery level is low, charge the battery.
3.If the issue is not resolved, remove the back cover.
4.Remove the battery.
5.Wait 10 seconds.
6.Press and hold the W key.
7.While pressing down the W key, re-insert the battery.
•The device restarts and after approximately 15 seconds, the 'Recovery' screen appears
•Release the power button but *continue holding the home button*, for another 30 seconds.
Step
Thanks

Problems with Android OS Marshmallow. Home key does nothing, quick toggle screen won't scroll down above the notification tray, lock screen doesn't appear at any point.

If you get random errors or unstable system after an update, it's best to do a three button reset from android recovery menu. Wipe cache and delvac partitions and you should be good to go.

WARNING: this will erase all your data.

Google on how to do a reset from the android recovery for your particular model.

Stuck on the Emergency Call screen. How do I get my home screen back?

This will happen when your wireless carrier terminates service. Contact your cellular service provider directly, to see what is going on.

Moto g was no sim insert slot what I do?

Hi Seeni Vasan,

You need only micro sim for this. One(minimum) or else two(maximum) micro sims for this.
Remove the back cover of your Moto G.

  • Now keep the mobile with the screen facing down on a table.
There are two micro sim slots for Moto G (2014)
1st Sim slot is at the top right corner and the 2nd sim slot is at the bottom left corner.
  • Insert the first micro sim, with its ports facing the table into slot one. (The bevelled corner should go inside).
For more details, please follow the link.

My phone has the dial pad superimposed over the home screen and will not let me make calls except emergency calls. I can't access anything. How can I get this off.

This one is a call for your provider as to how to turn it off. It is locked in a feature that allows you to dial emergency but nothing else. Usually bill related.

Have just bought iphone and have turned on and u cannot access anything but emergency

u need to unlock that phone or give it a rsete and thats how u do it:
Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time. Hold them both until you see the screen go black and the white Apple logo appear. When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.
Resetting the iPhone should not remove or delete any data or settings
