The gas is leaking through the carb float when sitting and filling up your crank. Drain it well and fill the oil back up. i installed a shut off valve and a shorter fuel filter on mine. In your case just don't leave gas in it for long.

SOURCE: Lots of smoke coming out of Cub Cadet 2146 muffler

Check the dip stick to see if you over filled it.. You shouldn't have oil above the top line... If you did over fill it remove the dip stick and tilt the mower to the exhaust side to drain on the excess oil out of the dip stick tube...

If it's not over filled with oil the engine more then likely shot and it's time for a new mower..

SOURCE: too much smoke

Use TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL in the pump. If not using an automatic oil pump, then mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil. There may be an oil build up in the crankcase. Do a 64 to one gas/oil mix for awhile. Watch closely. when the smoke reaches proper levels go back to the 32/1 mix.

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

Toro timemaster is 3+ years old and doesn't self propel when you push the handle forward any longer.

Either the transmission is shot or the gears on the wheels that turn have been worn away;. They are plastic and do not last long nor take much abuse.

Have a vibrations only when blade is engaged

vibration when the blade is spinning is a sure sign that the blade is bent and out of balance , maybe you hit something solid in the yard ??? anyways blades need to be replaced / rebalanced) if you continue to use a out of balance blade then shaft seal on engine will wear out prematurely and leak motor oil leaks out

I have a Toro Super Recycler GTS 6.5 HP. Upon starting the mower white smoke comes out of the exhaust (silver housing) on the front. The smoke stops after about 2 minutes of running. Any ideas??

Oil level too high? *(check oil level with dipstick fully screwed down!)

or

Leaking valve guide *(rare.)

Cylinder walls not sealing well and oil leaking past rings. *(less rare...nothing you really can do about....just getting used up)

I would change the oil and be very careful to fill only within the full range.
Then, run the unit once to clear the muffler out.

Good luck and be careful!

When I start mower it is ok for about 30 seconds and then a lot of white smoke starts coming out and small drops of oil start to drip onto body

It sounds like a lot of "blow-by" which means the rings or piston is leaking compression in high amounts carrying oil and water vapor to collect onto the vent where it drips.

Smoke from snowblower muffler

Your gas to oil ratio is 32 to 1. Should cut down on smoke. replace sparkplug at same time.
