There's some problem with the phone's ability to detect a dial tone. Check that the phone's base is connected to your home's AC power and the telephone cord is securely connected at the phone base and wall jack. If still not working, continue checking by disconnecting the cord from the base and connecting a different working phone. If the phone does not work while connected to this cord - there's a problem with the cord. Try replacing the cord between the jack and phone. If it still won't work - you may need to contact your telephone company's repair service to get it fixed. Good luck!

What does usb device not recognized ?


Hi,

The best you can do is,

Turn off the PC/Laptop
Disconnect the USB cable from Camera to pc/laptop

Disconnect the power cord connecting the pc/laptop and the wall jack or surge protector
Disconnect the power cord connecting the camera to wall jack or surge protector

wait for 5-10 mins

Connect the power cord of PC/laptop and turn on the pc/laptop and login to your PC
Connect the power cord of Camera to wall jack or surge protector

Connect the usb cable or camera to PC/laptop
It should get recognised and work fine.

Fax says phone off hook


  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet, but don't connect the power to the printer just yet.
  2. Perform a partial reset by disconnecting the power cord from the wall. Then, hold the # and 3 while reconnecting the power cord. Release the buttons once the cord is plugged in. When you release both buttons, the issue should be resolved.
  3. Perform a semi-full reset if the partial reset did not work by pressing and holding # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the printer and hold for 1 min after plugging in the power cord. When you release both buttons, the issue should be resolved.
  4. Verify that the phone cables are properly inserted into the wall jack and the back of the printer if you are receiving a "Phone off the hook" error message.

I keep getting a 'Phone off the hook' message. Phone is not off the hook


Hi,

Disconnect the power cord from back of the printer ( while printer is power on )
While holding the # and 6 key connect the cord back
( This step will erase all the fax logs and settings you have set on the printer )

Also
Press the Setup button and Scroll to FAX SETTINGS ( or ADVANCED FAX SETTINGS )
Check for ECM ( Error correction mode ) - Press OK
Turn it OFF

Finally if the issue is still not resolved,
Disconnect the Phone cord from Printer port and re-connect
Check for any other loose connections ( of phone socket ) within the house. ( disconnect and reconnect )

The Error message should go off

Telephone line is crackling and sometimes can't get a dialing tone -unable to use the phone.


Hello.

If the speakerphone on that phone works OK, then the handset or handset cord is faulty and needs to be replaced.

If still a problem, I would suggest to disconnect the power and cables from all phones on that line. Wait 10 minutes. Connect one phone at a time to see if the problem is resolved.

If not, replace the line cord (cable connected from the phone to the wall).

If not, contact your phone provider.

Please,phone won't turn On


Take of the battery and let the phone stand for about 20 min without the charger or battery connected. Afterwards connect the charger only without the battery and see if the phone comes on. If nothing happens, attach the battery and disconnect the power cord to see if it powers up. If that does not work, keep the battery attached, then connect the power cord and see if it powers up. If none of these work, you will have to contact your manufacturer or wireless provider.

To fix this issue:

1. Unplug the Unit
2. Unplug the Phone Cord
3. Disconnect the Battery from the Handset
4. Wait 10-15 minutes… and put back together in Reverse Order
5. Connect the Handset Battery
6. Plug-in the Phone Cord
7. Plug-in the Unit

Reset Procedure for Cordless Phones
1. Disconnect Battery from handset(s)
2. Disconnect Phone Cord from wall jack
3. Disconnect Phone cord from base unit
4. Disconnect AC adapter from wall outlet
5. Allow to sit for 30 min
6. Reconnect Phone Cord to base
7. Reconnect Phone cord to wall jack
8. Reconnect AC Adapter to wall outlet
9. Reconnect Battery to hanset until you click or feel the plug snap into place
10. Re-Register Handset by placing on main base in most instances.

Won't power on

  • If the product uses a power module (adapter), go to Step two: Check if power is supplied from the power module.
  • If the product uses only a power cord, go to Step three: Check if power is supplied from the power cord.If the product uses a power module (adapter), follow these steps to make sure that power is properly supplied to the product. Figure 3: Power module c00745315.gif
    1. Check the power module part number against the part number listed in the User’s Guide to make sure that the proper power module is being used.
    2. If the power module has a permanently attached power cord, do the following.
      1. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
      2. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
      3. Wait 30 seconds.
      4. Reconnect the power cord to the product and the wall outlet.
    3. If the power module has a detachable power cord, disconnect the power cord from the power module and reconnect the power cord to the power module.
    4. If the power cord was plugged into a surge protector or power strip, plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet instead.
    5. If the product does not turn on, or the power light built into the power cord does not glow, plug the product into a wall outlet in another room.
      • If the product or power light turns on when connected to a wall outlet in another room, there is an issue with the power supply in the previous room.
      • If there is still no power to the product, then the power module, power cord, or product might be defective. Proceed to the next instruction.
    6. Connect the power module or power cord to another HP Deskjet or Photosmart product to see if the power module is functioning.
      • If the power light does not glow, the power module might be defective. Replace the power module and the power cord.
      • If the power module or power cord works on the other product, the product facing the issue might be defective. Proceed to Step four: Service the product.

  1. Inspect the power cord for visible damage.
    • If the power cord is damaged, replace the power cord.
    • If the power cord is not damaged, continue with the next instruction.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to the product.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet.
