SOURCE: Canon FB630u problem

I have struggled with this same issue for ages, I just found a fix from the HP site for the same problem with an HP scanner - it worked for my Canon LiDE70. Run regedit then:

  1. Double-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to open the folder in the left pane of the window.
  2. Double-click SYSTEM , CurrentControlSet , Control and then Class .
  3. Select {6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} and check in the pane on the right for the Lower Filters string value.
  4. Right-click Lower Filters and delete it.
  5. Disconnect the scanning device and restart the computer.
  6. Reconnect the scanning device after the computer is restarted.
  7. BINGO! it worked!

go here pick your model number / operating system. download / save to desktop and install. note vista users right click and run as administrator. and then

1. Click the Windows Start button.
2. Click Control Panel, System and Maintenance and then Device Manager.
3. Right-click on Chicony USB 2.0 Camera and select Update Driver Software. A yellow exclamation point indicates that the camera is recognized by Windows but is not working properly, probably because of problem with the device driver
4. Select Browse my computer for the driver software.
5. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
6. Select USB Video Device from the list, and click Next.
7. If the message “Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device” appears, click Close.
8. Restart Windows.

Better is to change USB port position. also ensure USB2.0 support is enabled in your BIOS. If some jobs waiting for print firs discard them and then install, but when you change port device installs automatically. Check cartridges for empty.

Listen, once your computer recognizes your camera, using windows explorer you can go into the innards of your camera and locate the pictures and simply copy them to any spot you want on your hard drive. U do not need any software to do that!

Code 19

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. To fix this problem you should uninstall and then reinstall the hardware device. (Code 19)

Try these options:
•Click Uninstall, and then click Scan for hardware changes to load a usable driver.
•Restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then select Last Known Good Configuration. This rolls back to the most recent successful registry configuration.

Hope it helps.

Computer do not recognize kodak c703 and the transfer station is not working

Hi
I just had this problem with my D5000. I did a lot of troubleshooting to discover a Windows Code 19 error in device manager. To see whether this is your problem, go to Control Panel, select device manager. Your camera should be listed under cameras/imaging devices. If there is a yellow exclamation mark, disconnect your USB/transfer station. Using device manager uninstall the software drivers. Once uninstalled reconnect the camera and usb or transfer station. Drivers are on the camera. It should begin an automatic reinstall. When it says your hardware is successfully installed, you should be able to use the transfer station again. If not, and you got a disc with your station, then I suggest uninstalling all the software and reinstalling. Apparently in windows operating system, if the registry entry relating to that device is damaging, it will no longer recognise the device nor load the drivers. The only way to fix the registry is to uninstall the device and reinstall.
good luck

MY DVD player does not work, error code 19.

1.You seem to be having a driver conflict. If you have installed a new software that uses the Drive, like a CD burning software, uninstall that software and try the drive.
2.May be your drive is not recognized. Use Microsoft Fix it. To do that go the link below:

and follow the screen instrutions.

Hi, i have a toshiba L355 S7812 and just upgraded to 7 -- everything seems to work except for the built-in camera, and i cant find a driver/program for it....the toshiba program from vista doesnt work....

If the Vista Driver Doesnt Work, You Will need to search out a Driver from Different Make/Model... OR install software such as Driver Genius or similar to Install the correct driver for you...Or... try uninstalling and rebooting..

1) Bring up the device manager. You do that by clicking on Start button and then type 'Device Manager' in the search box. Select the "Device Manager" in the list.
2) In the list of devices, you will see "Chicony USB 2.0 Camera" with yellow bang on it. You will see either code 19 or code 1 as error codes.
3) Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
4) In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
5) Then in the Action menu of Device manager, select Scan for Hardware changes option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Laptop Levono y530, device dvd rw optiarc AD-7580s I tried to uninstall & reinstall it, but...

Give this a whirl:
CD-Rom stops working. After checking device manager you find an exclamation mark on the drive. It doesn't mean the drive is dead. It could be an upperfilter or lowerfilter registry issue that is keeping you from accessing the cd drive.

This fix worked for my client:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/XP_CD-DVD-Fix.zip

Also, try this fix from microsoft.

CD-ROM access is missing and messages cite error code 31, code 32, code 19, code 39, or code 41.

Try this before replacing the drive and remember that you may have to reinstall some burning software.

Computer won't recognize camera - Code 19.

Go here, and download revouninstaller. Install that on your computer.

Use revouninstaller to remove the original camera software.

Reinstall the the camera software from the cd that came with the camera.

If you don't have the cd, go to the camera manufacturers website and download from them and install.

Camera should then work.

Computer cannot detect camera at all!

This works for Windows98

1. Uninstall the Canon camera software.
2. Search for "Canon" in the registry. Delete ALL references associated with Canon camera in the registry. Just uninstalling the software will not work. Do not delete any other references to Canon products (printers, etc).
3. Re-install the Canon camera software.

I've had to do this several times. Works every time.
